Watched You Won’t Be Alone. That was pretty cool, although not always super great. But I really enjoyed it anyway. Kind of coming of age witch story exploring... Gender fluidity/identity ?sure why not.
I see a lot of people saying it feels like terrence malick making the vvitch, and i guess that's fairly accurate. Not even sure i would call it a horror film.

Watched Uncharted. First hour or so was an absolute turd. Even for a video game film. Once it actually started to be an Uncharted film it was ok though. The big set piece was pretty fun (the one ripped from U3 just looked dumb though. Dumb even compared to flying boats) and although Wahlberg was absolutely nothing like Sully (seriously he might as well have just been an original character) I thought he was ok. The actor playing Chloe... like 3 different accents. Was pretty funny.
I imagine a sequel is coming so hopefully it just focuses on the action/exploration instead of trying to build out the history of n8/Sam/Sully because that shit was sleep city.

great story arc
you're missing all the meat of the story though, if were going to turn this into a film. like rubbing a twix in your ass and dean eating it, stealing a car with no license, becoming a teacher, creating stars of the future, the nandos period, and most important of all, somehow being a coomer despite being in a relationship.

I will quote wooden from when i asked him that exact question on whatsapp:

By Zabojnik Go To PostI made it 3/4 through Ambulance before calling it a night. But Jake Gyllenhaal.. Has he finally missed?
How does that script pass through, I don't know, any person with a brain reading it. Revoke Michael Bay's licence to film.

You mean the man in *checks notes* Prince of Persia?
There's the odd moment he elevates the stunningly poor material he's given.
I know it's a real-life gun but his little one-handed AR thing he keeps wielding (which you obviously wouldn't use one-handed irl) kept making me laugh.

The Batman was decent. My favourite actual Batman for sure. Not completely sold on Dano's Riddler. Farrell was pretty good.
Should've stolen a good version, brother.

It’s not like better picture quality will improve the movie. Dear lord what overhyped crapola …
By JesalR Go To PostThe picture quality of Batman on HBO is atrocious, feel like I'm watching a cam ripWeird, I was surprised by how good it was especially with such a dark movie. Even got up and went right to screen and there were no compression artifacts.
Still thinking about the movie, would probably watch it again tonight if Sporting wasn't playing in an hour or so.
By Daz Go To PostAre you all talking about Batguy?Duh

I liked it in the theater but the only problem is I don't know if I'll ever spend three hours watching it again to confirm

Underused the villains, and another movie with the worlds greatest detective not doing any detecting. Good thing the villain didn't lend himself to any interesting detective work

One of my favs from the last couple of years.
By FortuneFaded Go To Postm8, he was solving riddles throughout.I solve more riddles while I'm taking a dump than he did in 3 hours
By WoodenLung Go To PostHe also did creep on catwoman though. That's kind of detective workThat scene was extremely similar to some panels on Year One.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostLFM, when are you going to start handing out bans?If poor taste was a reason for a ban, sy would be kicked off the whole internet.
Weird title because it came a bit below Mortal Kombat.
Still, great result for WB and it shows that the 45 window is probably the best for them and good for the costumers as well.
In related news, WB is now considering giving Batgirl a theatrical release.
By s y Go To Postso Batman debuted lower than Mortal Kombat on HBO Max but that's somehow a good thing ok nice spinBatman arrived at streaming 45 days after the theatrical release with 750M$ made on the box office and also being available on pretty much every VOD platform.
Mortal Kombat was released on HBO Max on the same day it went to theaters, was exclusive to HBO Max, did almost 10% of what Batman did in the box office and was a much more lower rated movie.
By s y Go To Postso Batman debuted lower than Mortal Kombat on HBO Max but that's somehow a good thing ok nice spinCompare week one numbers on theaters and HBO max for both Batman and mortal Kombat. You'll see a big difference in revenue.
Forgot Expendables 4 was still a thing. Can't remember if I watched 3.
Cinemacon start today so we should get a lot of movie news this week.
