Sorry to hear you have an opinion that is wrong, perfect blue.
Loved the ending too tbh. Midsommar was a bit of a slow burn, but rewatching it really made me like it more than Hereditary. Both great though.
The Strange Thing About the Johnsons is strange but certainly worth a watch too. It's only 30 min
By n8 dogg Go To PostLOVED Hereditary (although last 10 mins is p weak). Thought Midsommar was good too.

By Daz Go To PostAll the Craig Bonds are now on Prime video I think.
Gonna start with Casino Royale.
Think every Bond film is on. Dr No looks pretty good for a 60 year old film. I've got it in my head that I'll watch through them all but I reckon I'll give up by Thunderball.

Watched about 1hr45 of No Time to Die last night. Decent enough. Looks good, action scenes are good. Rami Malek is a joke.
Furioza on Netflix was decent. One of the main Furio's did an awesome job lol. The dubbing was bad though.
By reilo Go To PostTerrible plot, bipolar ass movie, and the writers really hate the character
Cory did okay
Spot on.

The nanobot shit is right out of MGS lol
Joke of a movie, Fukunaga completely wasted.
Started watching Scream and couldn’t even get to the first kill, you gotta be kidding with this shit. It starts with a 7 minute long phone call.

Thought it was decent overall. Fukunaga does a great job; the action scenes are all really strong, muscular and physical. There’s a oner in a staircase near the end which is great. Loved Bond using someone as a meat shield lol.
It’s nonsense on a plot level, suffers from the weakest villain since Brosnan’s time, and ultimately I don’t know if the serialised nature of Craig’s time was worth it - but, in a series of 25 films wherein there’s around 8 half decent ones, Craig has three of them. So that’s something.
💀 how is this criticism?

watched 12 angry men not long ago, and i mean the beginning was cool with the courtroom, but the next 95% remaining of the film was just some guys talking in a room. 0/5
I guess opening a movie with a talking head taking an horror movie pop quiz could work but this was so corny that it made me wonder if I had accidentally started watching Scary Movie 1 Reloaded.
Never seen it before, thought it played around with genre tropes but didn’t realize it was a straight up comedy.
By n8 dogg Go To PostThe nanobot shit is right out of MGS lolThey came up with that horseshit plot just for that bullshit "you guys wanna see how much more we can make this man suffer after we already killed literally everyone important to him???" ending.
They just really really wrote Bond out to be miserable af with a godawful rug pull.
Such a shame after they got it mostly right in the first three movies.
Skyfall seemed like it was gonna kickstart an era of classic Bond but ultimately you won’t be able to portray retrograde arseholes like Bond nowadays without kickback so they stepped away from it for more interrogation of character.
he is redundant in a world where ethan hunt exists

Suspiria (1977)
why don’t people know how to make movies that look like this anymore? The colours, mashallah.

They allowed for no room of self reflection and improvement especially with the backwards in character development they did in Spectre which they were perfectly setup to do after Skyfall.

By n8 dogg Go To PostSuspiria (1977)Because everyone shoots in Arrias with the basic color profile on but they don't do even the basic of color correction so everything looks washed out

Spectre was Craig’s worst by a country mile.

Only mainstream film I remember seeing recently that doesn’t look like a monochrome piece of shit is West Side Story.
There was some great photography in Dune, The Batman etc. but it’s all uniformity in colour from scene to scene. Not a criticism - I was just blown away by seeing something like Suspiria that has such vibrancy between its blues and reds.
Don’t even get me fuckin’ started on MCU. No one but Gunn knows how to make anything look good.
Craig Bond films were 1/5 for me. Casino Royale is the GOAT but everything else has flashes of brilliance but as a whole each film is so forgettable.
All are still better than the rest of the series, ofc

Goldeneye still my favourite. Then CR. Then Skyfall. One or two of the Connerys are decent. Everything else is meh to dogshit.
Also even Ana de Armas couldn't save that godawful Cuba scene. That was most definitely shot on a cheap studio lot somewhere and was just off in every way.
The entire time I could only think of Bond at the Opera House in QoS and how it contrasts to him being next to all of Spectre in that scene.

The problem with the Bourne movies is that the plot is the same in every one of them
"Oh shit Bourne is alive and we just pissed him off he's coming back after us" let that man chill god
"Oh shit Bourne is alive and we just pissed him off he's coming back after us" let that man chill god
The plots are indeed kind of samey but it works when you consider the first one is him just coming to grips with stuff, second is the beginning of his revenge against Treadstone, and the final one is the conclusion of his efforts.
We don’t talk about the Renner film and the fourth Damon one

Not quite the same, in Supremacy he gets set up and it becomes a revenge plot. Not quite the same plot of the first one. The second and the third are basically one movie.
Bourne Identity is a fucking banger of a film. Absolutely adore it. Everything about it. The car chase and the confrontation with Clive Owen's character :3
Supremacy is pretty good. The infamous shaky-cam stuff doesn't bother me that much. Honestly can't remember much about Ultimatum though, not watched it more than once I think. I remember there being a pretty long sequence of him jumping through/being thrown through windows or some shit though? Felt dumb even for this type of film.
But yeah, that's where that series stops for me. Will probably never watch the Renner one and Jason Bourne was just so boring.

Ultimatum was nice to watch in the theater. Gave the action scenes some heft. The building to building jump is still amazing and the final car chase is properly brutal.
Supremacy is the one I remember the least other than Karl Urban is after him and the opening scene in Madagascar (?) is so sick.
Doug Liman is low key a great action director on occasion; Edge of Tomorrow, BI, American Made. The latter is one of the most fun Tom Cruise films out there.
