By Cleff Go To PostJust finished Mad Max Fury Road.
It's essentially a two hour chase film and it's perfect. Relatively little dialogue with a lot exposition played out through a few sentences and scenery changes. Leaves more time for the set pieces which are incredible.
The Doof Warrior is my favourite movie henchman of all time.
Saw at cinema, thougbt it's be good but didn't think I'd think it was the best action film this millennium and maybe all time.
By faridmon Go To PostI want to go out and see The 355, but the reviews aren't all thatIt looks garbage. Glad it's finally out so I can stop seeing those awful trailers.
Decisions…
Loses all its charm without all the vhs transfer smudging, destabilized, dirty, hard subbed image watched on 8in phone imo.
@pb Oslo, August 31st was... Kind of bad i thought. Or maybe just mediocre but I've seen this kind of social realism drama a million times before in Danish.
Fine enough acting. But just such a boring been there seen that script.

Watched Ghostbusters today to get ready for Afterlife. That movie is still so good, the "dickless" joke still cracks me up.
Was surprised by how agressive the film grain was in the 4K release but after a few minutes I stopped noticing.

Got tickets to Spider-Man on Monday but my friends dropped out as we now need a COVID test to go to the cinema and a home test isn't acceptable.
Shame because I was really looking forward, just watched Andrew Garfield talk about being Spider Man and he is the one who is most passionate about playing that role.
His first appearance on Comic Con is legendary, his career as been on the rise and he still talks about playing Spider Man with just love and respect for the character and Stan Lee.
He has always been my favourite Spider Man and after Tick Tick Boom, I like him even more as an actor.
Really hoping he gets a Golden Globe tomorrow.

Could do one with "who Bowie was balls deep into in the 70's" too, now that we are celebrating his birthday and all too
By reilo Go To PostIt looks garbage. Glad it's finally out so I can stop seeing those awful trailers.Yeah looks garbage, but its the only one that is one that is remotely interesting to me (I have watched the majority of films that are currently airing)
Watched Afterlife the other day. The initial 30-45 minutes are lovely, unfortunately it then keeps going.

Blood Simple: two male leads weren't great. Surprised at how much it became like a horror (in framing) towards the end.
Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence: incredible lineup of Bowie, Sakamoto and Kitano. Some great shot composition. Never seen any Oshima before, I don't believe.
Sakamoto's eyeliner and contouring was very distracting. Of course, a great theme (piano version is better). I'll have to give my favourite YMO album a blast tomorrow - Naughty Boys.
I apologize for saying this, but Kojima cribbed the part where Bowie rescues Mr Lawrence for the Kaz rescue in Mission 1 of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Great artists steal.

Watched Waves tonight. Decent film, very clichéd at times and some strange choices, but it does most of it fairly well anyway. First film to show the struggles of phones auto correcting fucking to ducking. But stop randomly changing aspect ratio. Thanks
By Perfect Blue Go To Postnow watch in the realm of the sensesEh no
The 355 could ended up being one of the biggest bombs of the year. Less than 5M$ opening weekend in the US and just over 1.5M$ internationally despite opening in big markets like the UK and France.
It's not even a case of low box office due to COVID, in France it didn't even cracked the top 5 for the weekend, being behind Spider-Man, Sing 2, a French film, The King's Man and Encanto.
With a reported budget of 75M$, it's going to have a difficult time doing even half of that on the box office.

I'm glad I finally won't have to see the same damn trailer plastered through my NBA games again.

It was a passion project for Chastain and she was the one who picked Simon Keinberg to direct it.
With Spider-Man still doing business and Scream 5 possibly doing really well, The 355 will quietly disappear and I wouldn't be shocked if ends up on VOD and/or streaming in a couple of weeks.

The Raid was class.
I really don't think people are that averse to subs that this needs to be remade.

did he keep calling the girl cinema
Who was she
Did he see her vagina in front of him
Why were her pants so warm
Does he still have them
Was this a bet he made
A dare
Was it his idea or the message board persons
Too many questions
