Beautiful cast. And Edward Norton

Another non-entity in the film
Stiff Whiskey for me lads
it wasn't quite as good as the first one but still a good time. The humour worked for me too. Janbae Monae needs to be in everything going forward.

By Elchele Go To PostAftersun is a really fucking good movie
Inshallah. Ngl I thought the dance scenes at that nightclub or whatever were a bit much at times, but even with that said, I really loved it. What a debut from the director
By n8 dogg Go To PostCanβt wait to see it. Hoping it comes to streaming soon.Streaming (exclusively?) on Mubi in the UK and other countries from January 6.
I do want some stuff from criterion, but the Danish national library got some partnership with them. So they rotate quite a few of their films in and out, and you get to 'rent' 4 to 5 films for free a month.
Itβs so good. It has a lot more on there than just Criterion releases as well. The selection is ridiculous - looking on the Canadian list thereβs 2868 films in all.
Bit perplexed how they can get away with charging $11.99 a month or whatever for it. Surely canβt be making them any profit and Iβd pay if it was 3x that.

By Elchele Go To PostBabylon and Amsterdam are the most generic looking movies I've ever seen in years. At least marketing-wiseBefore Amsterdam came out I thought they were the same movie. When the trailer for Amsterdam dropped I said it looked like it was doing way too much. Seems like I was right. Anyways, Margot Robbie and Samara Weaving being in the same movie and apparently same scene would be a hook of sorts for my interest in it. Nothing else stood out and I'm not a fan of the director either.
Paramount wanted their own "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" and this ain't it.

Enjoyed Glass Onion but no where near as much as KO. It didnβt feel like there were any actual characters in the supporting cast (apart from oneβ¦maybe two). Supporting cast of the first was leagues ahead. The mystery wasnβt as engaging either, the pandemic framing was weird.
Craig was great though, probably enjoyed him more in this one. I still liked it, but yeah, KO was much better. Iβm down for a 3rd.

Watched Glass Onion with my mum and sister.
Was fun.
Felt much different than the first with added humour.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostFelt much different than the first with added humour.Yeah. Enjoyed it more because of this and the visuals. The first was bizarrely straight-faced and low on humour besides the Nazi kid being played up for jokes. Made the contrived shit like De Armas throwing up even more jarring. I didnβt really care for the first one in general.
By Xpike Go To PostI hope there's a third because both movies are very entertaining
They are. Craig got paid 100 milly for them.
I am sure he loves doing them for that money and now destroying himself like the Bonds.

I thought the humour hit well, except that guy who would randomly appear. Just can tell that is the Netflix influence.
By Xpike Go To PostI hope there's a third because both movies are very entertainingNetflix already paid for 3. There will be at least 10 movies
Enjoyed Glass Onion enough, didn't find it funny or particularly engrossing though. Basically entirely carried by Craig being a fun watch.
Feel like there's a bit of a weird thing with involving covid in the story, it makes the film seem strangely out of date even though the prevalence of masks and necessary Zoom calls was so recent.

I laughed so hard
they could've maid serious $ if they just let it run in the theaters longer. i doubt they will make the same mistake for 3.
Had some fun with Glass Onion because of Craig, but itβs a really weak script with weak characters. Netflix is the right home for it.

Watching it again. What a movie.
