By inky Go To PostPinocchio was fantasticDo you know if it's actual stop motion or emulated?
Very charming and a triumph for stop motion animation. Beautifully crafted.
It's almost purely hand animated stop motion. There's a making of accompanying video that shows all the maquettes and the process.
It might have some cg touch ups like water, but 99% is puppets and real sets.

He clearly didn't understand An Aquatic Epic That Demands To Be Seen In The Theatres.
Did anyone doubt Avatar and Cameron's ability to make money?
Obsession with budgets and box office numbers is fucking shite.

MCU nerds wanted to doubt it badly because they're buttsore over Endgame not being #1 in a fictional boxoffice race that only benefits Disney
Think the newest Spiderman is the only MCU film I've seen since Endgame. Feel like there's been nothing in the discussion around them to draw me back into the concept, just disparate films and shows focussing on characters I can't be bothered with.

Avatar is a pretty enough immersive experience for the whole family. I assume the sequel is the same.
By Laboured Go To PostWhen's the 4K version of Avatar coming out so I can hate on it all over again?Early next year is the rumour but the more exciting rumour is that The Abyss is also finally getting a 4K release next year.

what a film.
Haven’t seen it lol. Last Marvel film I’ve seen was the original Guardians of the Galaxy and that was becaus my date really wanted to.
I saw it twice. I struggled to finish it the second time around, however seeing it the first time at the cinema in 3D was a pretty great experience despite the movie being, uh, a solid blockbuster at best.
I'd be much more excited for TWoW if the closest IMAX wasn't 3 hours away by car and I'm not even sure it's a good IMAX. Might skip it and watch it in a quality VR headset when the blu-ray / HFR streaming version releases.
