By inky Go To PostHave you seen Vikander's Tomb Raider M9? I just saw it recently and it was awful too, but in this case because they based it off the new (now old I guess) Lara. It's just as bad as those games. You watched it for Vikander, don't lie to me, Inky.
I'm just wondering how you think it compares.
By Batong Go To PostYou watched it for Vikander, don't lie to me, Inky.Nah, it popped up on my prime watchlist. I was curious so I saw it. I also saw half of Warcraft.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostSeeing Triangle of Sadness in a few hours, hyped.
i saw sean baker hype it up like crazy, and now i somewhat want to see it.

haven't seen it, brother.

it was late. i wanted something easily digestible.
almost fell asleep after forty minutes because very little happened.
By bud Go To Postsaw uncharted last night. playstation productions are off to a very rough start. looked like it was made on a very low budget, too.Oh hey I started it last night too. I got to Mark Wahlberg's introduction and was way too drunk to stay awake after that
more importantly: there's zero chemistry between the main leads who don't even act like their videogame counter parts, which, if they had, could've made it a fun watch.
holland is in spider-man mode whereas wahlberg, whom i've never liked, is clearly just phoning it in. and then he ends every line with "kid" because, you know, that's what sully says in the games.

the sequence at the end was alright, i guess. so was chloe.
By Freewheelin Go To PostJust watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the first timeThe original ? It's brutal. To me it's the most unsettling of the first wave of horror movies because it's just so fucking grungy looking
Jesus that\s a hell of a film
Plus growing up in the south, that shit just looks like parts of Alabama we'd pass through on trips

the sounds of that fucking film as well. sensational.
speaking of horror, i was in the mood for a 90 minute film, and i came across don't breathe (it's up on netflix).
that was pretty good. and messed up. can't go wrong with this one, lads.
wanted to get inside the oled to tell that fucking idiot to stay in the car and just drive off
guess i'll have to watch alvarez's evil dead next.

TCM is a great fucking flick. The build up, the sound effects, that seemingly never ending final sequence. Just superb.
There was a rawness, a dirtiness in those 70 and 80 horror movies that made them more brutal and effective.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostThere was a rawness, a dirtiness in those 70 and 80 horror movies that made them more brutal and effective.yeah, kinda hard to capture again these days. Or if someone did try it, it would feel tacky.
By bud Go To Postspeaking of horror, i was in the mood for a 90 minute film, and i came across don't breathe (it's up on netflix). They made a sequel where the antagonist from the first becomes the protaginst you are supposed to root for, despite everything known from the first film. It's bizarre. Not really a spoiler because they do this straight from the start.

Triangle of Sadness was decent. No 45 minute vomiting scene unfortunately. There was vomiting but I’m disappointed, wasn’t as wild as I thought lol. Not as good as The Square or Force Majeure. Unreal photography and soundtrack but probably a bit longer than it should have been.
Goddamn Top Gun Maverick brought ir
Connelly and that 911, what a combo
No actor that makes action movies cares like this. A force onto himself.

Ring (1998) is one of the creepiest films I've ever seen
I remember the American remake being pretty good too

By Freewheelin Go To PostIt’s on my list! And Black Christmas
Inspired by the lad Dean, I watched Texas Chain Saw Massacre for the first time. I think the version on Amazon Prime does the film a huge disservice because it's just so fucking clean. It honestly kind of ruins the first chunk of the film. All the props and shit look so fake. Once it turned to night and you've got that long section with Sally it was still great though. Worth watching for that alone. It was so uncomfortable to watch. Hated that old man so fucking much.
Orphan: First Kill was more entertaining than it had any right to be even though I was expecting the twist after the first few minutes.
The documentary The Imposter was the first thing that came to my mind when she started looking at missing kids in the USA.

Lmao
I think Margot is gonna have two stinkers in row this fall.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostLiked the first one. Haven't seen the second one yet. I'm aware of Gal Gadot's infamous line read, however.
In for Yeoh
Terrifier is some nasty shit. The sequel has been getting some praise so I'm going to check it out when it's available.
Art The Clown is a serious fucked up character and the gore goes up to 11 so if the sequel has some better actors for the victims it good be a decent time.
