By Old King Rob Go To PostI don’t doubt you, it’s just the way you told the story is hilarious
I write like this all the time and no one notices it
Gray Man must be hell for people with face blindness. For the sequel they should add in Ryan Reynolds too.
By Daz Go To PostI just want you to know, this is great copy pasta material.I literally googled for it
Exceptional work Apollo
By Old King Rob Go To PostEternals wasn’t even that bad imo but I’m not sure how they fit into the mcu. Maybe the next movie introduces Galactus but that’ll be after phase 6
Robb Stark and Gemma Chan couldn’t act which usually doesn’t matter in a marvel movie but they were so boring and it stood out considering everyone else was so much better.
This has been the single worst thing about Phase 4 for me: that because the universe is so expanded and every character and their granny is now in it, shit is happening all the time and the only person who cares is whoever the film happens to be about. They unfortunately have become too much like comic books.
I mean:
You think Sorcerer Supreme would be mildly concerned at least.
The cool thing about the universe was its interconnectedness. Now it’s so disparate. It’s the MCU’s very own Meereenese Knot.
I've seen all the marvel movies in recent years except for Captain Marvel and I have no idea what that pic is about
There are big space guys called celestials and planets are eggs for them and the one in Earth almost hatched
And apparently it's not a big deal in the scope of things, which honestly I buy

By bud Go To Postlads, who would win win in a fight: spider-man or batman?Spiderman could probably suffocate you no problem with his web.
serious responses only. thanks.
By Daz Go To PostWe really need a Marvel thread.I haven't watched anything since endgame (bunch of TV show eps I guess), so make it and let me know what's gud
By Daz Go To PostWe really need a Marvel thread.+1 on this idea, get it out of here.
By bud Go To Postlads, who would win win in a fight: spider-man or batman?Spiderman has the Edge but Batman should have a kill plan for every superhero / villain. Problem is, Spiderman is Marvel so he doesn't know him.
serious responses only. thanks.
Advantage Peter Parker.

Spidey would beat that ass
I think in real life a muscular guy in a bat costume would lose every fight with anyone who was bitten and genetically enhanced by an experimental dna altering spider

Perfect blue is like one of the few anime's ive watched and liked. But I like most of Aronofsky's shit too
I've watched Eternals a few days ago, it wasn't bad but the dinner scene where they talk about the Avengers just to make sure it's connected to the MCU was so fucking bad.
Eternal has one thing, it's definitely the better shoot MCU movie.
The MCU movies are so "sterile", very little artistic liberty.
Shang Chi was so well received but most scenes were so visually boring (especially the 3rd act) that it made me dislike the movie.
I've also watched the Amazing Spider-Man movies to get ready for No Way Home.
I know that I like those movies more than most, I think it has probably the best Spider Man suits and Garfield is my favourite Spider Man but those movies look so much better than most MCU movies.
There are some really great looking scenes on those movies.

I don't know about ratings but I feel like horror movies have become critical darlings in the last decade or so

Weird how we haven't seen anything about this yet.
Wait, this isn't about Mia? Bruh
Hope it's good.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostSurreal this is coming out, I remember seeing the character maquettes almost ten years ago
Trailer definitely does not convey the dark tone if it's still part of the movie
The main problem is most of Marvel’s directors aren’t familiar with working with visual effects. A lot of them have just done little indies at the Sundance Film Festival and have never worked with VFX. They don’t know how to visualize something that’s not there yet, that’s not on set with them. So Marvel often starts asking for what we call “final renders.” As we’re working through a movie, we’ll send work-in-progress images that are not pretty but show where we’re at. Marvel often asks for them to be delivered at a much higher quality very early on, and that takes a lot of time. Marvel does that because its directors don’t know how to look at the rough images early on and make judgment calls. So Marvel hires indie directors to minimize their quote and then makes vfx houses underbid against each other to get the privilege of working with directors who don't know anything about vfx
Stan Lee and Ike Perlmutter would be proud
The other issue is, when we’re in postproduction, we don’t have a director of photography involved. So we’re coming up with the shots a lot of the time. It causes a lot of incongruity. A good example of what happens in these scenarios is the battle scene at the end of Black Panther. The physics are completely off. Suddenly, the characters are jumping around, doing all these crazy moves like action figures in space. Suddenly, the camera is doing these motions that haven’t happened in the rest of the movie. It all looks a bit cartoony. It has broken the visual language of the film.Oh Ryan Coogler didn't direct those shots I'm shocked
I’m trying to pin point how Marvel is bad there and I’m failing badly. They are a client, complain to your employer maybe?
By Crusher Go To PostI’m trying to pin point how Marvel is bad there and I’m failing badly. They are a client, complain to your employer maybe?uhhh a lot of time big clients will muscle their way through to get the work at cost because a bunch of overstressed, overworked, and underpaid agency employees is not their worry. They'll gladly run to another VFX house and get the same deal.
Nike did this a lot when I worked at an agency and they got away with it because they're fucking Nike. Disney gets away with it because they're Disney.
