By s y Go To PostFor the tabletop nerds I guessHollywood keeps making Scorpion King tier movies
John Carpenter made like 14 of the best movies of all time and then like 6 of the worst ones and now he just plays Horizon and Fallout all day and tweets at Ashly Burch

By s y Go To PostFor the tabletop nerds I guessKirk and Reggae John? I hope this bad in an entertaining way 'cause I'm throwing it on
Yeah but not from randoms. Seen a video from the standing ovation and people seemed to really like it.
I have hope that it will be good, it's a smaller budget and streaming online Predator movie which means less studio interference, the plot is interesting and it goes closer to the roots of the original movie.

I thought people applauding pilots for just landing a plane was weird, but doing it for a film or tv show is sensational. Hope all those early Halo tv show impressions got the same celebrations.

Random or not, I checked out that first guy's twitter and he's been showering praise on the new Netflix Resident Evil show.
So...yeah

even if that was true that would mean nothing, really
Finished 'The Gray Man'. It's another pretty bad Netflix production.
With a better director it could have been decent, but the Russo's were content peppering the movie with bad one liners and terrible green screen action bits. I dunno what's happened to them in recent recent years. Winter Soldier was a pretty good action film, but since then everything they've done has been flat.
Evans and Aramas were excellent together in Knives Out and Gosling is a pretty good actor. But none of them could make this movie watchable.

Wish I'd read this before watching it.
The brothers — best known for helming Avengers: Endgame — have just released their latest business venture, The Gray Man, on Netflix. To say they directed it would be a questionable assertion, at least in the traditional cinematic sense. Directed like a VP of Finance might direct a project to implement a new accounting system, perhaps. To watch The Gray Man is to experience true artlessness, a vision of cinema as pure product..
By s y Go To PostSo a marvel movie without super heroes? They definitely laid the groundwork for a sequel. Probably an entire franchise if it's successful.
Very little actually got resolved.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostI'm not against this.
Gus ruined his career from a versatility standpoint lol. Now he just plays variations on Gus. The Boys and Star Wars. Get him in a hero role.

That reminds me of that era where Hollywood was trying to make Taylor Kitsch a thing.
Dude was on 4 big budget movies in little over a year after Friday Night Lights ended (John Carter, Battleship, Savages and Lone Survivor).
