X-Men is good fun
Dialogue clunky as fuck, and some of the props look cheap as shit, but still. Shame it's directed by a nonce. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is just enjoyable, far more so than any of the MCU characters that followed imo, though I did like Chris Evans.

First Class is boring af, never understood the praise for that film. Vaughn is a supremely dull director

Watched Heavenly Creatures the other day. Obviously not Jackson's shittest film but man... I did not like it at all. Surprised how well received it seemed to be. Nothing about it stood out at all and as far as Jackson's films go it was surprisingly dull. Honestly outside of the LotR trilogy, PJ is mid as fuck. His best work outside of that were his two splatter films... which are great tbf.
Also watched True Romance for the first time a couple of days ago. Loved it. But so many dynamite scenes, brothers. The one with Clarence's dad and Christopher Walken was very Tarantino-y but couldn't take my eyes off it. Such a great cast. Don't really like rewatching things much these days but I'd happily stick that on again tonight already. So dumb but ridiculously entertaining.
