Thought that was a lot of fun.
Got to see it for free, reclining seats, in an entirely empty theatre, so that was nice.
Picked up pace nicely throughout, the action was better than the trailers too, felt like a nice mix between large scale bombast as some more visceral up-close slug-fests. Not everything landed, and there was a bit of tonal whiplash, but it worked well after a couple of years at least of far less successful Marvel movies.
Disagree with naffan on the idea that stakes don’t exist in a world with a multiverse. If anything, I thought this movie did it well, the stakes were personal and human and not world shattering..
If the movie can make you connect with the people in it, then the stakes are there, these aren’t your daughters rabbits, you can’t just pop down to the store and replace them when they die and think everything will be ok.

I mean NWH is a big ass apology for making him Iron-Spidey off the bat and resetting stuff to be more comic book accurate. Says a lot about those two movies when you have to bring in two other Spider-men to show the MCU guy how he's supposed to be a hero

Phew just got back from watching it finally, really really drove home what it means to be Spiderman. The scene where Andrew saves MJ was heart touching, said so much without a word uttered.
