Ah well that explains why Bruno seemed sad in his interview and talked so much about Carrick being a potential great manager
By BlindCom Go To PostHope Carrick makes an exit interview too so that n8 gets another tearful wank in the shower.
brother i can use my tears as lube
By n8 dogg Go To PostWhat a way for Carrick to sign off. Always gonna be one of my favourite United players. Legend.
By Freewheelin Go To PostHe picked Elneny because he played well with Partey in the 1-0 win last season lolExactly and how often has he played since then, it was such a bizarre decision. I just don't get Arteta, Xhaka is out injured so he obviously can't play him but Lokonga and AMN both had good games last time they played so why is Elneny getting the nod for a big game.
Rather sad about the Carrick resignation. It needed to happen as he was part of the failed regime, but he's one of the modern day great United players imo. Key player in our league and Champions League successes.
He was a one man midfield for us in the early 2010's. The only player who could actually progress the ball effectively from midfield but he also did an excellent job shielding the defence too. Scholes got a lot of headlines when he made his return, but Carrick was the real driving force of that partnership. Deserved so much more recognition than he got from England.

By Laboured Go To PostTime to watch this football contest then.Evening, horse
definitely on Arteta that one, if we push on after the 1st or even 2nd goal we probably secure tbe win. so many times these past few years where we could say the sane
By Xpike Go To Postalso Auba can't play anymore beyond supersub status, we've played with 10 men for a whole monthhe looks ready for mls.
A few different publications are carrying this story. Tbh I'm not sure if DCL is a good enough striker to bring Arsenal up a level. Probably better than what they currently have tho.
By Laboured Go To PostLmao. Arteta’s clapping.Soon you'll be realising why Ronaldo is massive problem.
By Daz Go To PostSoon you'll be realising why Ronaldo is massive problem. He’s a never-clapper?
Decent goal. I like those. Weird half where some of the out of possession stuff looks very early Ragnick.

Suprised Sancho and Rashford played on the opposite sides. Rashford has very little impact on the RW
Looked at the schedule and Ralf has like 3 months of fixtures we will be favored in before the level picks back up in March. Plenty of time to get us rolling if he can
Idk if espns schedule shows cup dates on it though.

By Laboured Go To PostI’m at the pen and yeah there’s no way Carrick set this team up.Pressing needs a lot of work still and general build up play out from the back, but exciting times if the lad Ralf can get this team going.
The out of possession stuff is so different and a lot of movement and passing choices are very different.
So unless Carrick did some wild, uncharacteristic shit this just isn’t even his team.

By Laboured Go To PostMan Arsenal have missed a fit Martinelli.Yeah, he adds so much in terms of energy. Just a real livewire.

Why didn’t Saka start?
By Laboured Go To PostWhy didn’t Saka start?Injured in the last match, didn't want to take the risk I guess.
Fred will thrive under Ralf.
Arsenal got some decent youngsters but need a reliable striker top. Auba was awful today.
Thought they still have a weak look to them. Like they can be bullied out of games if you get against them.

By Laboured Go To PostThe out of possession stuff is so different and a lot of movement and passing choices are very different. Was very surprised to see Maguire pressing up high into Arsenal's half. We really should've done much better after he won that ball too. He had nobody around him moving into the box so he had to shoot.

By Daz Go To PostWe looked like the better team today.Anyone that can kick a ball and cross half decently is better than AWB at this point.
Dalot surprised the hell out of me.
Hope he can press on and hold the RB spot.
Think Arsenal need to try and build around playing a front 4 of:
----------- Any Good New Striker --------
Martenelli ----- Smith Rowe ------ Saka
Invest in a new midfielder. Doubt Partey gets dropped or El-Neny but need more creativity and energy in there.
Defence is still jokes though.

Said he’s probably done under RR and it may happen quicker than I thought.
Also I’m glad Carrick left. He’s been part of more failures than successes, and I’ve always suspected he’s been something of a worm during that time.

Karma will get you.
