Luis Ferrer [Ex-PSG Board Member]: "I and Henrique went to Mbappé's house to convince him to sign him for PSG. I had to go to the bathroom, and even in the bathroom there were so many pictures of Madrid, I called Antero: "Go into the bathroom and see what's there.", That was our situation."

Also, on TAA: “ This kid is good enough to play for Real Madrid, never mind Liverpool, and he makes my team for the second consecutive year.”
Wtf is this shit?

It's the 2021 slaent footy awards:
Best poster:
LFMartins - there isn't a best mod out there but this guy has continued to post wholesome, friendly content and has topped it off with a SP league win too. Congrats amigo!
Runner up:
N8 dogg - if this was the film thread he would have been miles ahead of anyone else but unfortunately his footy persona is not shining through as much as his film persona. Discouraging.
Most improved poster:
Freewheelin - emotions can run high at times and instead of hiding it this man is exploring and exploding with rage at times, and all in good spirit too, keep it up buddy.
Worst poster:
Lambda - Some would say doicare is our main enemy but Lambda brings as much insight as Giuliani in a Fox interview. Don't listen to his betting tips either.
Want to see more of:
Posters coming back - Penny and Bungie come back, most if not all is forgiven and we need the diversity.
Best use of an emoji:
Pedja - For not overusing and also discovering the italic emoji 👍

What are everyone's plans for tonight? I was going to have my traditional dinner with my friends but that seems to be off due to COVID.

Yep so excited, even if we loose I don't fear playing any games ATM.
Although I get shook when pep starts handing compliments lol
Happy New Year from the future.
I was gonna make that joke, but couldn’t.
I have just enjoyed the change in mentality since the Everton game. We still lack enough good quality chances, but we are dominating the ball and are forwards are creating magic when they get the chance.
3-1 to us.

An 8 ball.
I've talked at length about most Sporting players but there's one of that deserves a shout, Matheus Reis.
He scored an own goal against Portimonense but if it wasn't for Paulinho's hat trick, he would be elected the man of the match.
Last season was rough for him, he was one of the most desired LB in the league but a troubled summer transfer window saw Rio Ave reject a few bids despite his contract running out in 12 months.
Player and the board clashed heads which saw him being outcast of the squad, training alone for the first half of the season and not playing.
We reached a deal with Rio Ave in January, paying them 500k and loaning Rafael Camacho so he could join us at the time instead of waiting another 6 months to become a free player.
His first half of the season wasn't anything special, being mainly a sub for either Feddal at LCB or Nuno Mendes at LB.
This year he has been outstanding. With Feddal having some issues and Vinagre being traumatized by Anthony/injured, Matheus Reis has been comfortable replacing either to the point that he was the player with most minutes on the pitch in December.
The preferred option when we need a more defensive LB, his technical ability (used to play as a CAM in Santos) also is helpful as it turns him into a ball carrying center back, one of his runs against Portimonense was decisive because he was brought down after dribbling past 3 players which led to a Portimonense player getting his second yellow and that unlocked the match.
All that is turning him into a very important part of Sporting as Rúben Amorim consideres playing with 3 CB the basis of our tactics, even if the other team is down to 10 men.
Having CBs that can go forward makes it easier to adapt the team to the game without making subs as any of the 3 CBs that usually are starting have no problem in carrying the ball forward, very helpful when you face teams like Portimonense who played with a 6-3-1 that is hard to break down.
