Sunderland were alright in that first half, the gulf in quality became very clear in the second half as of course it would. Not a bad showing though for an established league one club.
Thought it'd end up about that before kick off but for the first 60 min I thought we were more than decent. Defending for the third goal was embarrassing nevermind the opposition being PL or Conference.
Shame Cirkin wasn't fit as our left side is SO fucking bad without him. Four of the five goals came from Pepe's side.
Pepe.

What a fucking idiot lol
Surprised Alba got away with nothing, terrible call on that part. Xavi saved.

Hahahahaha fuck that was stupid hahah. He has a history of doing dumb stuff so not too surprised but yeah
How is anyone falling for Jordi Alba's bullshit in 2021?
It's barely any different from falling for Suarez's shit these days.

The guy just wants to be famous. He had some good ideas (being against big agents and shady corporations, fighting for VAR to be implemented) but all his passion for the club made him behave like an ultra and a president needs to have a bit of diplomacy.
I understand why a big section of the supporters still love him but he also disrespect the club quite a bit.
I remember him using the stadium screens during the halftime of a match to announce that his wife/girlfriend at the time was pregnant, how he scheduled his wedding to be on the same night as the club gala.
He might have begun the job as someone who loved the club but at a certain point he wanted to be bigger than the club.
He also created an hardcore fellowship who hates the current president despite the club being in it's best state in a while.
Besides the incredible season and half that the football team is having (first league title in 19 years, 1 league cup, currently joint top with Porto in the league with 13 wins and 2 draws, second time in the last 16 of the Champions League, on the final four of the league cup and still in the Portuguese Cup), we are also European champions in roller hockey and futsal.
The club has been trying to be financial responsible with only one major signing in terms of money paid and using a lot of academy players instead of going to the transfer market.

rvy might have gotten his Christmas present early. Portuguese and Brazilian media are reporting that Jorge Jesus has accepted Flamengo's offer and now all that's left is for Flamengo to reach a deal with Benfica.
Hope it doesn't, that place is going to be an house on fire if JJ stays. Accepting a deal to leave the club one day before a cup match against Porto and a week before a crucial league match against Porto again is just a shitty thing to do.

I've got no problem with individual awards in football, but an ordered list of footballers from 1-100 is so fucking stupid and redundant
Am extremely amused by the thought of n8 manually typing out a hierarchical list of 100 footballers, both in concept and execution.

By Willkiller Go To PostI've got no problem with individual awards in football, but an ordered list of footballers from 1-100 is so fucking stupid and redundantThey put a guy who has played a total of 21 senior games in his whole career in the top 100. List is automatically meaningless.

Isn’t that what the Balon d’Or list ends up being anyway?
Or movie of the year lists? Or game of the year lists? Or slaent poster of the year lists?
It’s all as redundant as each other. All pointless. All just a way to waste our time until we die.
