By Tom Go To PostDo you know what is also weird, how everyone is blaming Casillas the guy did nothing wrong apart from that throw in at the end. Juve could of won that by more goals but yeah Casillas is shit buy de Goat etcBecause he failed at the second goal.
Fuck Madrid and their fans. Forza Junited. shame the goat is gonna ruin Juniteds night ;_;
And keepers simply can't afford many mistakes, unlike field players...
Bale might have had no luck yesterday and failed with alot of moves, but at least he tried.
Ronaldo did nearly nothing at all...

I really do not expect a victory against atletico this weekend, we hopefully can wrap up the league at home against deportivo.

Apparently, during the Juve locker room celebrations, some witless goose was shouting "Napoli merda." Even in your moment of greatest joy, you're still shitting on the impoverished southern boys.
By nate Go To Postgod we can buy bale and pogba and still afford a freddo on the way homeBuy Higuain, too, to replace RVP and Falcao.
A bargain at €300m for the trio.

And we're not selling the naming rights.
Although I probably would for Bale and Pogba.

Still £50m short of where we were this time last year because of no CL. Moyes lingers.
Mind boggles at what the fuck happened to the wage bill last year. How we are paying less this season after buying Di Marie and getting Falcao I do not know.

I'm gonna wreck shit if you guys get an easy group right away. And watch us plow trough the qualifiers to end up in a shit group again. Fucking Uefa.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostReally tonight? Zamp really is great at getting deals down. Linking him to every single club under the sun.More like we want to close the deal asap, before Arsenal or some other semi-fetus loving clubs get any ideas. Dybala made it clear he wants to stay in Italy, so there's that. All parties agree, no need to delay the deal.
Tevez, Morata, Llorente, Dybala, Berardi??? Loan out Coman
I'm still surprised we're paying 30M€+ for him, but I trust Marry, Parry and Nedved. The new Triade.

Could it be things like CL bonuses? Appearance/goals fees lost because of no games in the CL and the COC? Or is it just basic wages?

I choose to interpret this in a dramatic (THE MOTHERFUCKIN TRACTOR BEAM IS CHARGED) rather than mundane (We have already signed Depay innit) sense.

This transfer window Chelsea need to get a bit of depth in most areas:
A backup keeper if Cech is going. Preferably homegrown so someone like Green would be ideal.
Another winger/attacking midfielder since Cuadrado was such a flop. I'm sure Bale hates us from his time at Spurs and he will be too expensive. Could try and pinch Sterling since he wants to leave Liverpool. I've seen a few people talk about Reus but he will probably end up at Bayern with the rest of Dortmund. I quiet like the look of Felipe Anderson.
We need another striker as Drogba is too old now and both Remy and Costa have fitness issues. Griezmann looks a good option since he can play deeper as well. Seen us linked with Lacazette who could be a bargain.
A strong midfielder: Matic was overplayed last season, Mikel is shit and we relied on Zouma to fill in at times. I miss the likes of Essien. Loftus-Cheek looks the business but he is probably not ready yet to play a major role.

Fuck I cant help but be envious of Man Utd, spend a 151 to get back into the CL, have a 60 million player flop (maybe a bit presumptuous) and no body bat an eye lid. Infact not only do people not bat an eye lid, they sanction what will probably be a another 100+ million spending spree.
I really am jealous.

that sounds extremely vague
By nate Go To PostCould it be things like CL bonuses? Appearance/goals fees lost because of no games in the CL and the COC? Or is it just basic wages? That could be a factor. But I would assume bonuses are applied at the end of the season. Throughout the year, in each quarter, staff costs have been down by about the same amount, 6%.
Over a year that totals to around £12m. So not huge, especially on a weekly basis.
But considering the signings this summer (and Valdes) must be totaling to something like £45m/year in wages...we've somehow managed to ship out something like £60m in wages. More than £1m a week.
And it's not like we cut any top level players, we got rid of players over the hill (Ferdinand, Vidic, Fletcher, Giggs) and then players who just weren't performing (Kagawa, Anderson, Zaha, Buttner)...and Evra :(
These guys must have been on a serious wages. The £60m averaged out across those 8 players is £150k. I would be worried if any of those guys were earning that amount...but some must have been earning even more for the numbers to add up. Obviously it's a bigger picture than that, various youth players left too and there will have been other costs too. But regardless we obviously were mismanaging the wage bill...which just surprises me because things have been kept so tight under the Glazers.
@DuckerTheTimes: Among those out of contract next summer: De Gea, RVP, Young, Jones, Evans, Rafael, Lindegaard, Carrick, Wilson #MUFC
Presumably DDG is offered a new one and either rejects it or signs with the proviso he's sold.
Young, Jones, Carrick and Wilson will resign. Probably Evans too tbh.

Jordon Ibe agrees new five-year deal. £30k per week.
And a bit on Raheem:
And a bit on Raheem:
Liverpool have come under some criticism for their handling of contract negotiations this season, but it is now only the Sterling issue causing a major problem because he rejected a £100,000-a-week deal, his agent Aidy Ward initially demanding £150,000 a week before calling off negotiations.
There have been attempts to give the impression that the difficulty in Sterling’s case has been part of a broader trend, but that no longer stands up to scrutiny as the vast majority of those who were promised contracts during the past 12 months have now agreed terms.
Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho, Jordon Henderson and now Ibe will head into next season on recently penned long-term contracts. Martin Skrtel is expected to renew his terms this summer, and Jon Flanagan will be retained despite facing another year on the sidelines with injury.
Liverpool still hope Sterling, 20, will listen to his manager and commit to Anfield over the next few months, particularly as it has been made clear that the club have no intention of letting him go this summer and would rather keep him on his £35,000-a-week contract for the next two years than sell him to a rival.

United were very generous to long standing players, even if they weren't necessarily in the first team every week. I bet Fletcher was on a shit tonne.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostOk, finally I have finished work and can type out my thoughts.
Allegri what a man. He out thought one of the finest coaches of the CL era in both games. And the way he set the team out in the second leg was beyond believe. The team was setup to attack and score and that is exactly what they did. They didn't do it particularly well, especially with the final balls. But for the whole 90 minutes this team tried to attack and put numbers forward to get a goal. I thought would we would see the back 5, but Allegri gave RM the wings to prevent attacks down the middle and most of what they could muster from those wing attacks were poor or easily defendable crosses. It was the exact reason why I wanted RM, they are so predictable that if you can defend well then you can stop them. All that money and they just have no ideas about how to move the ball around and move defenders out of position.
I had said the other day that Juve need to play without fear and remember the great and historic jersey they wear. And they did that better than I could have hoped for, especially after conceding an unnecessary penalty that could have really seen them drop their heads. Juve could have won this with a couple more goals if it wasn't for some poor finishing. Amazing.
Now my thoughts are turned to the final. Barcelona are beatable, but I think the only way is to drop Pirlo. He can't do it in Serie A anymore, let alone against Barca in the biggest club match on earth. As much as I love Allegri, I don't think he has the balls to do it because he doesn't want to be known as the man who dropped Pirlo twice. I think the setup should almost be the same except with Sturaro in for Pirlo to add greater defensiive stability without losing a man in midfield. The Juve we saw last night should hopefully not be the one we see in the final as they will have a lot of time to just rotate the squad in the final games and allow Pogba to get back to match fitness. Same with Tevez who still doesn't seem 100%. If Juve can get everyone back to peak fitness then they can easily be a match for Barca. After all Steve Nicol and Shaka Hislop said Juve were basically playing with 91/2 men against RM last night with Pogba and Pirlo. Imagine what they will do fully fit.
Finally, I said before the game that I had upmost confidence that Juve would progress because of one man. The stage was set for a Shanks to fall, but boy did Buffon look something else. 38 years old and still there is no one better than him. It's hard to believe he is
Yeah it just downed on me that ALLEGRI fucking out-tacticed Carlo TWICE in Carlo's bread and butter, a two legged European tie.
Buffon was genuinely my man of the match. He kept us in the game when we were down (both on aggregate and mentally)
