Ings is a good signing for whoever gets him. Young, British, talented, won't expect to start every week, relatively cheap wages and fee. Good buy.

I'd be delighted with Benteke/Sturridge/Ings
All 3 can play up front on their own, all 3 are orders of magnitude better than Balotelli/Lambert/Borini. Wouldn't be completely reliant on Sturridge alone keeping fit.
Problem is that Sturridge is the only one who has shown he can play in a 2 in the PL. Ings was apparently great with Vokes in the Championship (won't pretend I ever watched them in their promotion charge), but he's spent most of the season alone up front.
Still think Ings will end up at Spurs. Second choice in a better team in London is surely better than what we're offering. That's assuming that we will actually end up signing someone other than Ings to be in our first 11 though.
