By OddMorsel Go To PostI really hate transfer season tbh, not least because Liverpool never have good summer transfer windows, but also because I just hate the constant deluge of repetitive rumors and the "we're signing him, no we aren't, yes we are," etc.
I just can't wait for the next league season to start.

Its the torture of hope, I used to enjoy the stories simply for the narrative. Journalists will and can literally conjure up anything, sometimes even without logic. I do like it when a story develops though, the buzz the swirling of rumours until sky sports pick and confirm it to be true. It's quite pleasant (but I can imagine this is really club dependent).

Thought I'd post this nice compilation of Lampards time at Chelsea since he is retiring.

Where the fuck is Arnie
By Barzul Go To PostI mean I understand why Arsenal is attractive to him. London and we look like we're making progress and only need a few pieces to make it to the top. He probably feels he can be one of those. I still maintain if we can keep our core of 8 players (that includes any new additions better than what we currently have) fit for a whole season we will win the league. Chelsea had 11 players who played 25+ games this season. We had like 5 maybe.
This is potentially true, we're developing and honestly if we have A+ transfer window we should be able to compete with most Europe tbh. It very rare for teams to have an A+ transfer window, I'd be happy with B, which would include three players (Keeper, DM and forward) depending on those personnel will decide my thoughts for next season.
Good time to be a gooner.

See, I take the piss out of Vinny Kompany's destiny chatter even though City have recently, repeatedly won things.
"We're gonna win the league [if we keep a certain number of players fit]" is a chant, m8. Not a serious statement.

it would've been nice to have an Iranian win the champions league
By S@l Go To PostSee, I take the piss out of Vinny Kompany's destiny chatter even though City have recently, repeatedly won things.I don't know there's a high correlation between keeping your core fit vs having a large squad. Mourinho played the same players time and time again this year and they did the double. When Liverpool finished in the top 2, similar case, even when they did it with Benitez. The invincibles was a similar scenario also. Titles are won by keeping your best players out of the physio's room.

Great player. If anyone's gonna sign him it's this year; Ronaldo either moves up front or Benitez puts him on the left of his favourite 4231.
Don't think he will leave, but if he is, it's now.

In my FM save, Ronaldo at age 37 has moved up front and is playing under Moyes at Chelsea.
He scores a lot of headers
But the rest of Chelseas team sucks so the fantastic Watford beat them anyway.

Chicha ITK

By Barzul Go To PostBenzema rumors coming up. Is it true that Real want to make Ronaldo their No. 9 for next season. I'm seeing comments of the like on twitter but no idea how true it is. Also something about a Real bid for Aguero.I've seen this around too. I'm not sure how Agüero+Cristiano would work. I'm not sure I believe Benz is leaving either. Probably next year.
Inter seem to want Chicha and Pedro. God help them.

I've no idea what RM are thinking with Benitez. He's not good enough, Klopp would be a much better option IMO.

It's just cute how much you guys think a manager can influence a team
Considering he's in Real, Benzema is quite underrated innit.
I'd love him to be in our team. He's great.

By confuziz Go To PostIt's just cute how much you guys think a manager can influence a teamWhen a manager sits some of your best players inexplicably on the bench for important match after important match, it tends to have an effect.
When a manager forces a formation that doesn't exactly suit the talents of the squad, that too may have an effect.
When a manager refuses to adapt his strategies to the current opponents and refuses to prepare for supposedly easy matches, he may be affecting the outcome.
When a manager is causing issues in training and in the locker room, when a sizable chunk of the squad begins displaying increasing irritability, when rumors begin swirling that some of your top players want to leave the club if the manager is retained for another season, the manager may just in fact be influencing the performance on the pitch.
We'll see how your hypothesis holds when Real is sitting 4th next season under Rafa.

These jobs are not even in the same universe, also former players confirm this.
I like Dani Alves, still got a few years in him, and Van Gaal likes his full backs to overlap and create, Alves even scores every now and then.
In a perfect world, he mentors Rafael into the philosophy, but in reality, I hope we sign another young RB too.
