By Perfect Blue Go To PostApparently to Toronto. One of our insiders who called a few things in the past says he will sign tomorrow. Let's see what happens. That would be a vicious lineup☹️
Braves extended Olson 8/168.

They must have really hated Freeman.

By Pac-12 Go To PostJudge will be MVP.
Yankees re-up with Rizzo. They have to figure out what the fuck to do with their infield.
Voit deserves better than how the Yankees treated him late in 2021 and they obviously have to trade him now. And then they have Torres and DJ for second base. One of them has to go (and the one of them's name is not DJ).
There it is! Nice! For four prospects with one being close to MLB ready and some lesser prospects. Really good trade for us, IMO.
Apparently still talking to Jose Ramirez. Please, give us a second baseman.

Jokeland never was going to, and f da Doyers and Arte
Hard to believe Atlanta wouldn't keep Freeman home if that was the price, but I will leave it to Braves fans to judge the terms.
On MLB radio, the top end I was hearing was like 6/180, and this is well below that.

The main hold up was the sixth year. Braves (at least before the lockout) were only offering 5.

Luke Voit is on his way to Slam Diego, I hope they utilize him well.

By Fenderputty Go To PostThere should be a salary floor.why? lol Mariners have one of the best farms in baseball, why should they overspend?
Bro Seattle spends almost 3 times as much as Baltimore and Pitt though. Fuckin Miami, a notoriously cheap as fuck team does too. 30m a year for an entire team is wild as fuck. That’s Star money a year in any sport.

Besides who is going to pit?
a floor would just create more shitty contracts.
I could see something like a 5 year floor or even 10 year floor. Meaning you have to spend a certain amount of money within 10 years kind of guaranteeing the people of Pit at least one playoff push a decade😂
Goodbye you beautiful but ultimately really mediocre baseball player. Looking forward to seeing him light it up in Coors for the first two months of the season. Dumping his salary for an arbitration player who hits left, plays the same position, and is pretty much interchangeable in WAR with potential upside is good business. If he can get consistently on base batting 8th or 9th to set up the top of our order, that's all I need. Apparently a prospect is coming too... absolutely wild because Randal Grichuk is on such a large contract relative to his output and likely won't get better than he already is.
Actually another brilliant move by our GM Ross Atkins. Not sure how this guy keeps pulling out great trades. Let's see what other moves we make.
Interesting way to frame the issue. All the Jays players are vaxxed because they need to be to enter the US where half the games will be played. Last season the team spent the vast majority of our “home” games playing in a minor league stadium in Buffalo so, cry me a river lol.

I would say today was opening day but only 9 games were scheduled, and 2 of them were postponed before the day even began.
I don't get MLB. Opening day should be opening day for everyday (weather aside). Many of the teams playing today had tomorrow scheduled off (which is where those 2 PPD games will be made up). Why?

I dunno, but it's bloody hot in Anaheim.

Yankees right now are Rizzo, Giancarlo, and the bullpen.
Fortunately, that's enough for 2 wins to start the season.
