Carragher really make Keane sound like a tit RE Ronaldo yesterday, it really is a shame Carragher didn't point out that Ronaldo has only scored one goal in the league in his last 8 games while Keane was shouting "the game's about goals Jaime, it's about goals"
We going to keep being surprised that a new variant is dominating?

90 minutes before the match started, 3 players that were in isolation were given the go ahead to play the match by the regional health delegate.
Feel like Tuchel got it wrong yesterday. Werner isn't great against a low block, especially when being played in the centre. Might have been an idea to use Pulisic if we were going to go for a more lightweight attack.

pls 💀💀
Hadn't read this interview with RR. Bellingham thing aside, his assessment of other teams is interesting - particularly the whole "those teams with great individuals but who do not address all different facets of the game or don’t have a clearly-defined playing style, can’t quite do it. It’s not enough anymore" thing.

By Laboured Go To PostMakes sense as it’s only 6 months but 10 Hag or Pochi need to clean house.
We really need to be doing these lads on Thursday before they start playing football.
Hopefully Maguire is back - would be a big boost for us.

Would love to know which targets has Ralf identified for the January market. I have to believe at least one player, maybe two, will be joining the squad in the winter.
Also find it a bit questionable that in 2016 he already considered Messi an old player… he was 28 at the time? Uh…. Don’t know what to to think about that bit of trivia.

I'd be very surprised if we go for anyone. Doesn't seem the type to jump into the market after managing a team for less than 4-6 weeks.

This isn't some revelation, more I saw it as a pointed, public criticism precisely of clubs like United.
these former United players are the fucking worst pundits on tv
The argument hahahaha. Amazing.
Carragher, please keep destroying those idiots my boi
hixxed
Rio with the 🤡 takes.
Really wish we could move away from most of the ex (United) players being pundits. Brian worm level takes at time.

Rio is particularly egregious, he really is a dumb cunt. Keane and Neville are very good pundits I think....when they aren't talking about their mates....which unfortunately has been pretty constant for a while
Any ex players tbh, McManaman and Owen are a waste for example and don't get me started on Keown.
Rather have managers (not Keane) talk about for 90 mins

Unless there's a surefire hit available in January I don't think we'll sign anyone in that window.
Rangnick has a huge job on his hands at United. He not only has to develop an identity for the squad, but also he must develop an identity at management and DoF level. He'll need to identify the best young players around who'll fit into the playing system he's trying implement at United. And then impart that knowledge on our scouts and Murtough and Fletcher.
We haven't had any sort of joined up thinking when it comes to transfers since Ferguson retired. The number one targets of Moyes's first window were Febregas and Bale. I don't think there was any plan in that other than them being the best players available. Our targets and signings under LVG were a mishmash of players he'd managed before and those that agents touted to him. It was reported that United's coaching staff were surprised at how little knowledge LVG had of players around Europe other than those in the Eredivisie. Mourinho just wanted players he thought would win him trophies. No thinking there either.
Even Solksjaer, who seemed to have half a plan of getting in young, coachable players, didn't actually seem to know what to do with them once they signed. Sancho is the obvious example, but Amad was signed for £20m as an 18 year old, played well and was then dumped out of the side. We then went ok to sign Sancho, further limiting the time Amad could potentially get anyway. And with all respect to Olé, he didn't sign any players to fit with a system because he didn't really have one.
Looking forward to what Rangnick can do on that front. We should eventually see us targeting young players who fit the system on the pitch.
