it’s about net spend
So I was thinking.
After ET if a match is still tied, the team to have scored their last goal first should go through.
It’s a simple concept. In football you try to score a bigger amount of goals than your opponent. But like in many other competitions, if you’re tied, then you could simply ask, who scored that amount in a shorter time?
Not for 90 minute matches. But when you need a tiebreaker after 120 minutes this works for me a whole lot better than shitenalties.
Besides, it pushes for more offensive football during ET as both teams want to be the first to score.
In a way this is a variation of the golden goal except without the fatalism of ending the match there and then.
This would dramatically decrease the amount of PK shootout decisions. Basically every time other than 0-0s. For which you could think of something else as well tbh.
It would be especially important now that the away goal rule is gone which will lead to more ties and potential PK shitouts.

By Laboured Go To PostI was hoping we could maybe give posting about football a skip this month?Okay.
By Laboured Go To PostI was hoping we could maybe give posting about football a skip this month?Brother, Jose is melting down 4 months into his new job.
Football is alive.
By Punished Dean Go To Postare we all dead yet
It would explain a lot.
By Laboured Go To PostLook at the quality of our posts and you tell me brother.Speak for yourself m8, I’ve been crushing it lately.
By Scum Go To PostBring me Isak, Frustrated.Kid is a star and La Real were smart to trust him in locking him up in a new contract. He would do great in the EPL, but I doubt he would leave just as he's leading them to the top of the table.
By Cleff Go To PostBrother, Jose is melting down 4 months into his new job.And Roma is still clear ahead of last season fixture by fixture.
Football is alive.
Athletic sneaking a late goal with a man down to tie it 1-1, La Real top of the league again though.

What a buy Aaron Ramsdale has been eh fellow gooners? I wonder if any of the doubters here have changed their tune. His distribution and shot stopping ability is top class. Been really impressed with him. First keeper I don't worry about since Lehmann
I wasn't as vocally on the "lol Ramsdale" train as others, as a part of me suspected that it was the shocking defences in front of him which left him exposed for the last two seasons.
He seems a good fit though. He's made some excellent saves. It's probably helped that he's been against some absolutely abject attacking performances in the meantime, but he's doing well.

He needs to be England no 1 imo, Pickford is crap.
Btw, it wouldn’t surprise me if Smith Rowe and Gallagher were selected for the next international break, they have been quality so far this season.

Feet so nice scholes mat eat them on the gram. Really impressed with him man
Nuno has arrived at the training ground, surely he will be given the sack today. There is no point letting him take training this week, we have two important matches to play before the break. Just let Mason take these two and appoint the new guy during the international break.
Everybody wants Nuno to go and he knows he is finished, he can’t do the job now. How can he train the players properly knowing that the decision has already been made?

BREAKING NEWS: NUNO SACKED

I fear until Kane goes to a club that meets his ambitions he’s going to continue to stink the place out.

Now no Nuno.
Conte to Spurs would be a Klopp to Liverpool level appointment. They're a real clown show though don't know why he would want to go there.

Nuno was always the wrong choice, but he also seemed like a legitimate gent, so I'm nowhere near as happy as I was post Jose.
We either go legit project with a manager with a consistent style, or we go Conte.
Neither of those seem plausible at the moment because we're run like a rabble

I'm enjoying the meltdown Redcafe and United twitter is having over the possibility of Conte going to Spurs. It's like they still haven't come to the realisation that the Glazers are terrible, terrible owners.
Conte would be great at Spurs.
Think it would give the United board exactly what they want, no options.
Ole is going nowhere.
I just, fundamentally, did not consider that position to be anywhere near front of stage in terms of problems with the squad - and I thought the transfer fee was (excessively) huge.

Think it would work out quite well Laboured, in the short term.
We are far enough away from any transfer window of note and there are players in that squad who could do wonders with Conte.

would be surprised if spurs actually manage to get conte
the way levy handled firing mou right before the cup final was hilarious, but also made it obvious the club will never be any good under him

By KP Go To PostPotter perfect for the spurs job. Not too big but a step up on Brighton.
When you're right, you're right. But thankfully by hiring Paratici it ensures they'll never go for a manager like that.
By KP Go To PostPotter perfect for the spurs job. Not too big but a step up on Brighton.Doesn't seem the kind of guy to leave so early in the season though, and 6 months is a long time for an interim
Brighton made us look tactically inept in the second half on Saturday
Job would be too big for Potter to jump in, midseason, I think.
Would be setting a positive, exciting young manager up for failure.
