Needed to go full Mou to beat a team that's given up worse than us.
Not only have we got no style to call our own, we are literally burning our future down to accomplish it. And the likes of Neville, who are more interested in saving their m9s job than the club, will use this game to point the attention and criticism back to the players because Ole did it with "players who can be trusted".

By Meier Go To PostPoor Jesse Marsch. Frankfurt get a last second goal off a set piece.. just a terrible way to drop points. Forsberg is hoping the ground swallows him up.Dat bad, link me a video fam?
By n8 dogg Go To Post^ Clegg bang on there. To get the win we have gone ultra negative when we started this season signing Sancho and looking at playing 4-3-3.It's essentially Olé admitting he can't coach a side with a striker, 10, and wide forwards in it. That wouldn't be so bad, but we've been building the squad and making transfers with a 4-2-3-1 /4-3-3 in mind. It all seems like such a waste of time now.
Eventually results will starting to drop off with the 3-5-2, because we're not coaches well enough to sustain it. The players and fans alike will demand a change. Then we're back to square one with putting in another attacker, but not having the tactics or coaching to make that work.
I missed the Liverpool game live earlier so decided to try and avoid the result and watch a replay. It was nice being able to skip replays and watch at 1.25x speed. Sadly there was no option to mute the commentary, which was among the worst I can remember. But as others pointed out in the last few pages, Martin Tyler does still exist, so it could always be worse.
Also kind of surreal watching the game and knowing it's already decided. Felt a bit less impactful, perhaps left me less concerned. I was disappointed by the end result but i wasn't otherwise too upset; a midfield 3 of Ox, Jones and Henderson wouldn't work at the best of times let alone with Ox forced on early. Looking at pool fans around the web though, and they're absolutely raging at the result. You'll always get a few screeching at any draw or defeat, but the reactions I've seen are just embarrassing.

By Scum Go To PostSo, what you're saying is then Cleff - Conte in?Like, I'd prefer a manager who'd make use of the talented wide forwards we have in the side. I'm not sure if that's Conte tbh.
But if we're going to completely turn our backs on all the squad building we've done and play a 3-5-2, I'd rather have the manager whose proven he can win a league playing that in that style.
By Batong Go To PostDat bad, link me a video fam?Been trying to find one but nothing yet. All I can find so far is their tweet about it.
Carragher still calling for Solksjaer to be sacked. Doesn't think the results or performances under Solksjaer, even with the change in system, are sustainable.
He's absolutely right and it's farcical that a Liverpool biased pundit seems to have a greater grasp on what's best for the long terms interests of United than some of our own ex players.

Happy with the win. I’ll worry about how it looks once they can continually keep clean sheets. The Young forwards will still get plenty of time. Hopefully they come prepared to make a quick impact like Rashford has. But we have to protect the clown car at the back.

I dont recall ex Chowsea players coming out to bat when Frank was under fire.

We are all calling for Nuno to be sacked and they are sitting on 15 points.
By Scum Go To PostAt least you have the talent and money. We, on the other hand, are truly dead.Think you're just the right coach away from having a very good side. You've good players all over the pitch.
By Cleff Go To PostThink you're just the right coach away from having a very good side. You've good players all over the pitch. That's the most disheartening thing about it all.
By rerixo Go To Postwtf united are in crisis but once they beat us next week we'll be even on points. how did this happenSimple. Our calendar up to the Liverpool game had been piss easy. Teams like West Ham, Neverton, Aston Villa, Soton had given us a lot of trouble. Teams like Leicester -which Arsenal just brushed away- gave us a fierce beating.
In reality we should be top of the league or thereabouts, then we can start facing teams like Chelsea and City and see the real table.
English player Danny Loader made his debut for Porto today, coming on the 84th minute and scoring the 4-1 on the 96th.
By Andrew Go To PostVery similar with Spurs too :lolTo be quite honest, it's more about the everything else. The football is dog shit whether it's a win or a loss. If we'd play well today and lost to Man Utd, then fine. But this match seemed like a team looking for their first win to stave of relegation.

By Daz Go To PostHad no idea Spurs were this bad.Like Cleff said, we have a good team. But Levy ruined it by bringing in Mou & Nuno after Poch's antics and this is the result of it all.
Dunno if the lad wutang killa bee posted it himself (just had a quick skim through) but he's gone into surgery for his liver transplant tonight and unless something has happened in the last hour or so it should be underway

Rashford had been in very good form since his return. 3 goals in four appearances is excellent. Especially since the majority of those appearances have been from the bench. Looks like he has a much better range of movement than he was pre-surgery.

Neville is correct here on Sancho. Was thrown in to a poorly coached side and struggled. But was still the only forward with even an inkling of what defensive responsibility actually is. Gets dropped because the coaches are incompetent and now finds himself without a position now we've changed to a 3-5-2.

With the players we have, sitting deep with 3 at the back and only 2 upfront is not acceptable. Our coaches are clueless.
Big game. Benfica just drew with Estoril 1-1 and a win tonight would put us as joint leaders with Porto and 2 points ahead of Benfica.
Guimarães is a tough team, they came from a 3-3 draw with Benfica on Wednesday.
