What I meant was I don’t think they need a mega upgrade such is the quality of their coaching. Their squad is genuinely dross and they’re competitive most weeks. A few better players and I think they’d be alongside the Evertons and Villas of this world.

Need a draw at least in the final group match (groups of 3 teams so just 2 games) against Penafiel who had lost 5-0 to Famalicão so Fama has the goal difference advantage.
In the other League Cup match of the day, Porto lost against Santa Clara 3-1 and are already out of the final four of the League Cup because Santa Clara drew their match against Rio Ave so they have 4 points, the maximum Porto can reach is 3 if they win against Rio Ave.
Porto has never won the League Cup.
