Really surprised the Wild came through last night. Fucking all-star Dany Heatley had 5 points in the first round, how weird. He's been pretty lousy for the Wild since coming over.

I was pretty into hockey (Rangers fan) before the lockout, but then that kind of killed it and it feels like a tough task to get back into it the way I was before. I don't even know half the players in this league anymore.
So I guess I'll just throw token support to the Rangers for now?

I admit I actually don't follow most of the NHL outside of the Kings, I think partially because I only have so much time and because for the longest time the only other Hockey games were the Ducks and the once a week national game. Now that there are more channels carrying hockey I guess I have less of an excuse, but I still can't find the time.
I wonder if the Kings/Sharks series goes differently if those teams aren't located in the same state. And now the Kings don't even have to get on a plane for their next series. That's pretty crazy.

I heard tickets were pretty expensive for the Kings vs Ducks series, like worse than the Winter Classic prices.
decided not to buy tickets, i couldn't find anyone to go with.

first, the kings smothering defense is fantastic. people kept saying they had the best defense in the league, and now i know why.
the ducks won every offensive category, yet they only scored one goal.

3rd, teemu selanne is still playing hockey? wtf? :shock:

Selanne is retiring after this season, I think he's 42 which is amazingly old for a pro hockey player. Dude's body is probably made out of jelly.
