instead of "why can't we find the next" its gonna be "never hire another one like that"
Deion gave em 3 years of massive mainstream attention if they can’t figure out how to build off that it’s on them.
Not sure what is crazier. The fact that we are talking about Alabama or the fact that Fox sports allowed nick saban to go politicking on their halftime show last night considering they cover the big 12 and 10 and not the sec.
Arkansas had a first down with under 3 minutes to go, inside the Kansas 30 yard line with a 15 point lead (99.9% win probability) and now the game is tied.
By domino Go To Postwhat a horrible day of college footballYeah. .. yeah.
i hope they stop pretending the B12 deserves a seat at the table
UGA and Bama beat their best by about 100 fr.

the SEC invitational featuring OSU/Clemson is fine by me
Big 12 always getting embarrassed outchea since Vince did his thing 20 years ago
i though Georgia would win easily but i am not sure i saw that coming.
By diehard Go To PostThere's gonna be 12 teams in the playoffs, there will be plenty of SEC teams with a shot.i am excited for 12 teams and think it is going to be good for both the post season and regular but there are gonna be some bad SEC teams making it. gonna be even worse when they expand again to 16
ACC is being fucked by that long ass TV contract that is so not aging well, and by most fanbases not coming out huge for football.
By Pac-12 Go To PostACC is being fucked by that long ass TV contract that is so not aging well, and by most fanbases not coming out huge for football.Similar to the Pac-12. They were the first to get a mega-deal from TV, but it ended up being less than everyone else's while also being much longer, so they were not able to renew it for a higher price like the other conferences on shorter contracts could.
UNC going to the Big 10 instead of the SEC because we want to pretend to be nerds will probably be the end of my interest in UNC sports. I don't give an iota of a fuck about Big 10 teams but I could get excited about us playing SEC teams in stuff
Utah fans (who are the worst, really) going from "haha, we're in a P5 conference, suck it" to "The Big 12 is basically a glorified G5 conference" to "Please join the Big 12" in such a short time period has just been glorious. The PAC is actually deserving of dying off, unlike the ACC, IMO.

I don't give an iota of a fuck about Big 10 teams but I could get excited about us playing SEC teams in stuffThis is going to be the problem with a lot of these moves. At some point the allure of playing new games against big names wears off teams lose their natural rivals. Add in that once these conferences get too big certain teams are going to play do infrequently there is little chance to develop new rivals. Then you are stuck with fan apathy.
Like I think adding Clemson and FSU to the SEC is dumb and redundant and at some point you need to add average at best football programs but at least they would would have natural rivals that would probably give sustainable interest
I'm sure many people have made the joke about how disappointed the dozens of Stanford fans are today
Stunning incompetence from the PAC commissioners

I love how all this movement is making it harder and harder for the NCAA to deny that it is a business using athletes and not an organization supporting students. Wonder if it will help fuel the student-athletes-are-school-employees thing.
By DY_nasty Go To Post this may as well be free agency at this pointI like how a league with half the teams trying to leave is going to have discussions about adding teams
