By rerixo Go To Postworld cup every two years would be good if they get rid of the eurosI don't think I agree with this.
World Cup would lose it's luster, like the Olympics, if it was on a two year cycle.
I think what makes these type of competitions special is they feel almost generational, like a life marker.

Cedric scored twice. Arsenal are back.
lol why didn't they just do that a few weeks back instead of losing 2-0
to make things worse it seems all the other arsenal players are indeed vaccinated, at least the ones who have caught it previously
xhaka probably shouldnt show his face at the emirates ever again

Seems like you do not understand tactics.
World Cup should stay every four years. What FIFA really should do is vigorously market the other continental tournaments to a global audience. It’s total BS that it’s impossible to watch those tournaments on a TV provider here.
In general FIFA should up their digital presence significantly. Showing qualifiers on YouTube is a good start but a lot more can be done if you want to appeal to new viewers and keep the product viable for growth.

Don’t FIFA also want to revamp the Club World Cup entirely? IMO I think that is a good idea and has appeal if done correctly.
the world cup every 2 years doesnt make any sense because for most regions qualifiers last the other 3 years
unless they just want to have international breaks every month
unless they just want to have international breaks every month
'but most players only have two or three chances to win it' is the worst reason for the World Cup to be every two years. It's the thing that makes it so tense and interesting.

Seems Ronaldo is suspended for Portugal's next game so they've released him from the squad. Almost certainly means he'll start against Newcastle.

No point in having him play the friendly against Qatar as it should be a change to learn to play without him so it makes sense to let him go.

Could Xhaka be any worse? What a fucking clown.
He deserves Mourinho, why can't we just terminate his contract and get rid of him.

By Linius Go To PostHopefully it's better than their second album. That was a bit of a 50/50, second half especially became a bit of a borefest.Yeah, agree to a certain degree
But it was an album that got better with every listen, my initial impressions wasn’t good then I enjoyed more after several listens in, and approached the album from a different angle. It’s much more somber and gothic than the first album and it clicked.
By the way you need check out the new Yung album. It’s shockingly incredible

There's still plenty of time and matches to play before the World Cup, but England should really be looking to integrate Bellingham into their starting XI. He's very young, but has such obvious quality on and off the ball.
Southgate can point to his double pivot of Rice and Philips getting them to the final of the Euros. But we also saw England struggle to create chances and keep the ball in midfield with that pivot.

By Laboured Go To PostI remember this fella had a ton of legal issues while in Portugal as well. Is this related to that and he's just been charged down the line or is this a new thing? Isn't he the one who like tried to murder someone now that I think about it?!
In January 2018, it was announced that Semedo would stand trial for an altercation in a bar in Valencia the previous November, when the player allegedly brandished a pistol and made threats while he was nursing an injury.[30][31] He was arrested again for a separate incident on 20 February, this time for allegedly tying up and torturing a man in his home alongside two others, then going to the victim's house to burgle it.[32][33] For the latter incident, he was charged with attempted murder and placed in preventive detention.[34]A real charmer
Semedo was released from prison on 13 July 2018, after paying bail of €30,000.[35] Facing a maximum 151⁄2-year sentence, he confessed two years later to kidnap, robbery, wounding and illegal firearm possession; he was fined €46,000 and banned from entering Spain for the next eight years.[36][37]

Ruben Semedo is an idiot, the fact we were able to sell him for 14M€ was quite the deal.
When Semedo got arrested in Spain, Gelson Martins scored the winning goal and took off his shirt to show a message of support for Semedo he had on another shirt.
There was just one issue, Gelson was already on a yellow so he got a second one for taking off the shirt and was sent off.
Even worse, the following game was against Porto and Gelson was one of our best players.
