Also, Ibrahim Sangaré of PSV seems to be dominating the league statistically. I know the Eredivisie is a weaker league, but he was putting up similar numbers in Ligue Un as well. Strange that he wasn't picked up by a PL side.
Looking at FB Ref, Fred compares very favourably to almost every midfielder in the PL when it comes to interceptions, blocks and tackles. There's a good player there when he isn't tasked with progressing the play so much.
He suffers the same problem as all our other rnidfielders in that he's very good at certain things, but is being tasked with additional roles which he just isn't suited to. And it's dragging the entire team down as a result.

We play with a double pivot and there are very few players in the world who are actually any good at that position.
By Pennywise Go To PostMentioned it yesterday when I saw the rumors.
I think that might be a really smart move, if they give him time to get into it.
Dude got a fantastic track record as U21 coach. Given that people always rightfully said the youth level currently isn't that great in Germany, he put out some incredible results.
Last U21 tournament that they won, the team was the clear underdog but managed to win it with good tactics and having fielded a team that put in a lot of effort for each other.
Also managed to get the best out of some players that had a hard time due not playing a lot recently.
Some people were eager to get Kuntz in after Löw announced he would step down and I think that would have worked well.
Obviously the there are some things that will get difficult. The language barrier will be a thing, but also the difference of going from the U21 to a senior team. On top of fans being rather restless after the latest terrible results and the turkish FA being problematic with their influence.
We'll see how it works out. I think it's a smart move and he's a really good coach that got what it takes.
Hoping the mafia TFF let him actually pick a squad and play his tactics. As soon as I see ayhan or tufan anywhere near the team I'll know he has no control
By Patriotism Go To PostHoping the mafia TFF let him actually pick a squad and play his tactics. As soon as I see ayhan or tufan anywhere near the team I'll know he has no controlI don't think he would go for it without proper freedom to handle things. Will surely take some time to settle into it, so I wouldn't really judge him entirely from the first picks since the next games are pretty soon.
List of possible assistant coaches: Tayfun Korkut, Kenan Kocak, Mustafa Dogan, Tayfur Havutcu.
I only know the first two properly since they've had experience in the 1st and 2nd league. Would solve the language barrier and bring in some experience as well.
We are debuting our third kit tonight, curious to see it as after watching the announcement video I wasn't quite sure how to feel.

@batong
do these turkish lads not do the CL? I see a couple of the games from last night on there but nothing for tonight. £2 is still a banger for PL/Serie A though.

Lol, this proves that stats are pretty useless then I guess. Sangare is a nice giant to clean up the mess but totally unusable for any attack minded team.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostOkay guys, we need all of you to send a tweet and it must contain the words bounce backFind me a tweet about a player that just got injured and doesn't use the words "come back stronger".

A club from a country that doesn't exist. What a time.
By Hixx Go To Post@batongYeah doesn't seem like it tbh, they did have a few qualifiers but nothing for the group stages so far.

Hope benching VVD doesn't come back to bite us too
We are definitely going to miss Coates, I wonder who is going to play as the middle CB as both Neto and Inácio usually play as the RCB.
