Who gives a fuck about soccer (foreign sport) when the O'Neill county are up against a team that are quite literally cursed, on September 11th.

By Meier Go To PostI think they'd probably do 2x30 (or maybe 35) since an average game is around 55 minutes of actual play right now. Bringing it up to 80 would be a lot of extra wear and tear on the players. Women's college soccer has clock stoppages and it counts down to zero which is pretty weird to see for the sport.
If we wanna start worrying about wear and tear on players, let's start with getting rid of dogshit competitions to free up more rest during the week. Chop the European competitions up, get rid of wankery like the EFL Trophy and find a way to reduce how many intl qualifiers there are.
And say #justsayno to shit teams trying to keep the ball out of play more than it's in play.
By Rich Homie Juan Go To PostFernando Santos is WOEFUL.He truly is. He has been carried by the quality of the team because he completely fucks the rest.
By Pedja Go To PostWhy is he still getting called up?Tbf Kenny is phasing him out of the side I think. But we've zero depth so he stays in the squad.
Dan and Rerixo, this is a good read:

Nice to see the positivity in the comments as well. I know Hixx has been pleased.

Jota, Bernardo and Bruno were all really poor tonight. Was a continuation of Portugal's poor form from the Euros. They have attacking talent most Nations would kill for, but they play awful football.

Pretty sure this team does nothing for training, they only play 5 a side or some shit.
By Cleff Go To PostJota, Bernardo and Bruno were all really poor tonight. Was a continuation of Portugal's poor form from the Euros. They have attacking talent most Nations would kill for, but they play awful football.Because of the manager. Rafa can be really useful for Portugal but not today as Ireland played deep.
Our midfield was a disaster today because Palhinha was the only who wasn't almost always on the final third.
Bruno and Bernardo Silva love to go forward.
Santos should have not started Rafa, put Bernardo Silva on the right wing as he loves to cut inside and Cancelo is great on the overlap.
Someone else should have been Palhinha's partner in the midfield.
João Mário would have been a good shout as they played together last season, Matheus Nunes should be called for the next international break and they are a great pair together.
Jota was poor tonight, probably would have been another story if he had scored instead of hitting the post but he completely disappeared after that.
I have to give a shout out to Gavin Bazunu. He had an incredible match, Man City have an interesting keeper there but if they don't keep him, send him our way, we will treat him right as we did with Porro.
I was supposed to see them live in 2020. Didn't know them when I bought the ticket but went through their 2 albums and immediately put them on the list to watch if the schedule allowed it.
Laughing at the female representative telling Shaw that "This is the Southampton you, being organised" when he actually has his passport ready.
I can't get over this Ronaldo goal, how the fuck did he score a header like that while moving away from the ball and sending it to the opposite corner? Insane player.
Isn't that kind of his specialty? Not trying to be facetious here, but I've seen him score more than a few well-placed headers over the years.
By Oddinho Go To PostIsn't that kind of his specialty? Not trying to be facetious here, but I've seen him score more than a few well-placed headers over the years.Yeah the way he floats in the air above everyone else for what seems like forever and then heads one in, best to do it, makes it look so easy.
His positioning and jump height is so dominant. Only Drogba is better and he did it through pure physicality while Ronaldo is technical.
He was his undergraduate at Sporting and learned from the best I’ve ever seen. Mário Jardel was an insane goalscorer and his headers were just as precise and powerful as any given kick to score a goal.
By faridmon Go To PostTheir first 2 albums are incredible, but I still have yet to see them live due to pandemic also.Saw them open for IDLES a couple years back. Helluva show.
By Rich Homie Juan Go To PostNot their fault either. Santos is a nothing manager that lucked out the most ridiculous euro ever.
Anyway. Agree that some of the strongest teams in Europe have some of the most inept managers in the Euro2020's (Löw, Santos, Southgate, Deschamps).

Portugal has actual so-called world class players being wasted with this brick-layer.
You know every time I watch a dodgy soccer stream, the chat is always filled with people saying "RIP Joe Rogan". Makes a change from racism and homophobia.
