You can't change the match length, it's stuck on 5 minutes. You can only choose between Regular and Superstar difficulties, AI is brain-dead on Regular.
Feels like a big step back on almost every point.
efootball is actually garbage, no surprise.
Some baffling decisions like having to go through so many different screens just to select stadium, shirt, sides, gameplan, etc. Transitions are so fucking slow.
Gameplay is nothing to write home about. Feels a little looser due to the new ball control. Passing anything but short feels like dogshit, and defensive play is fine. It's much easier to get the position than hoping AI to do anything. Basic tackle is overpowered, while there's no nuance to slide tackling.

By n8 dogg Go To PostGenuinely think buying Ronaldo has derailed our team’s progression. Expectations went up, chemistry and versatility went down.
Shanks right again:)))
By Lambda Go To Posttime to bring back the big gunsI remember playing this on one of the official ps1 magazine demos
Expectations went up because Ole has been in charge for 3 years and all he has to show for it are lost semi-finals and a lost final.
And it wasn't Ronaldo alone, it was a 70m+ winger star from the bundesliga, and a world class defender who has won everything joining the team as well. But sure, let's keep believing we are 3 or so players away still from some kind of basic expectation of success...

I don’t think they are one and the same. Plenty of media and fans in this country doubt Sancho because ‘he’s only done it in the Bundeslol’, and even Varane is seen as being similar. That’s not fair or right, but it is what’s happened.
But buying Ronaldo came with his record across Europe, his status as the world’s best or second best player (even if that hasn’t been true for a while) and a direct line to our last glory days. He pushed the expectations to far higher levels than just Sancho and Varane would have.

The Ronaldo transfer, for better or worse, is the final lock on United’s title intentions.
You’ve got Ronaldo, Pogba, Fernandes, Varane & De Gea.
Then you’ve got a slew of players who you paid fees in the dozens of millions for to fill needs, like Sancho, Fred, Wan Bissaka, and Van de Beek.
Then you have your core of talented Brits like Rashford, Greenwood, and Shaw.
Then you have Cavani, who is a quality backup, and I’m sure there are others who fit into this role.
That group of players, the most, or second most expensive in the PL and undoubtedly the highest-paid, leaves Ole with no excuses for not winning the title. Anything less than a close 2nd is failure.
I understand that United fans will want to keep their expectations low, because the squad has not performed up to the level expected of those names in recent years. But that list of players is a team that should be winning the title.

All true - but we're still letting teams run through us and relying on clutch moments to survive.
Which is why we wont win anything - that kind of style is unsustainable.

By cRrusheR Go To PostReally trying to blame Ronaldo on the team playing like they have been playing for months now. Ok.
What I would say on that, is look at the impact Cavani had when he came on. Pressing hard from the front, winning the ball back (which led to the goal). It's not something Ronaldo is going to offer, but it is something you're going to need against a lot of teams.
The question is does his supreme ability to finish chances override that.

We came second in the league and made a final last year. People acting like we were nothing but dogshit is very interesting to me.
I think Ronaldo does not suit the profile and playstyle of our side as much as Cavani does. Simple as that.
Yeah I thought it was immediately obvious even last night that Cavani suits how we want to play much more. Which then made me wonder whether Ole will start trying a 2 striker system. Which made me sad when we have Jadon and Rashford. And then I thought let's just fucking 442 it.

Yuck, revisionism. Cavani chases balls yes, that’s true, let’s hope the likes of Greenwood, Sancho, Martial, also chase the ball like Cavani does. Or Pogba, or any non defensive role player not named Bruno or Cavani. It’s a team full of pressing players let me tell ya, Ole got them running.
Also a bit misleading - Cavani did come on and pressed but he came on against tired legs - no guarantee he doees that for 90 mins.
I’ll always prefer a player who lifts others around him rather than one who acts as if the team is there only to lift himself. It’s not as if Cavani’s scoring rate is bad, he’s been better than 2:1 apps:goals for nearly his entire career and so far with United despite limited minutes he’s performed well.
But Ronaldo’s goal output is as reliable as it gets. So what can ya do. Are you only going to play with 1 of Greenwood, Rashford and Sancho?
