By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI always feel bad when Georgie is on screen. Always means a beating is coming his way.
Fun scene though, I liked how his little kid was more mature than jackie jr.

Haha.
Whipping Jackie’s arse at chess.

Yeah for sure. That wasnt working very well.
There's almost a year between shooting of the first ep and ep 2 iirc. Crazy.

You can definitely tell
Great time capsule though, cool seeing my kindergarten era from an adult perspective. The cars, clothes, tech... very nostalgic. So many culture changes from 1998 to 2006. Hell, a lot of differences between the late 90s and early 2000s in general

sensational.
bobby does da ting, but the victim rips off his shirt. i can't remember if that ever comes back to him.

All this Soprano talk makes me want to do a Boardwalk rewatch to see how it holds up.
Fuck season four with Furio and Carmela.
Gonna do that next. I haven’t watched it since it finished. I remember thinking season 3 was my favorite season of TV from start to finish. Should check how it holds up.

Loved Boardwalk. Always started so slowly but the acting across the board was great so it was always a pleasure to watch. It isn’t GOAT tier TV drama like Sopranos/Wire/Deadwood, but I’d have it just below.

Just finished the Season 5 epsiode where Tony and Adriana get in the car crash.
Really was the start of the end for both Chris and Adriana.

Just watched those episodes last night. How’s he stanning for this cunt Brendan so much
The scene where Jackie dies and then Tony goes from crying to raging at Chris to storming into Jun’s cafe heavy and then the hug, the subtle pull in, the demands… just all of it is a masterstroke by Gandolfini.

Then again I got to ep 8 or 9 of The Wire twice and tapped out. Just finished my first full watch the other day
boardwalk is next for me also.

Season 1 definitely its weakest and I think you could probably skip it entirely having just read the wiki without missing much. Show takes a big leap forward S2 and even bigger ones for 3 and 4. 4 in particular is incredible - focuses on MKWilliams and Jeffrey Wright and is all the better for it.
BWE is a different beast, It is not quite as clever as the Sopranos.
But it does not try to be as well

Blackace what do you make of Tony’s cigar game?
Saw him using a regular lighter and also just biting the top off his cigar once.

So watched a documentary on James Galante... and I am convinced he is the real model. I mean his house was even the same. If I didn't know better I would have thought his home videos were shot on the Sopranos set
Watched College last night. So good. Meadow is annoying as fuck, but even the Father Phil shit is great.
the scene with the dude outside the motel at night, mashallah

I think Meadow hits a lot of the highs and lows of a teen. AJ too. And keep in mind we see them at some of their most stressful for Tony because he's the main character and his battle is with anxiety.
By bacon Go To PostWell this is somethingThis is what happens when you're an interior decorator and kill 16 Czechoslovakians but your house looks like shit.
Why cant Guga get Sopranos people on
That scene at Jackie Juniors funeral is fantastic. Meadow is caught in between defending her family, but also seeing through their bullshit. Everyone crying while Uncle Junior is singing.... At a funeral where they are the cause of it all. Sensational.

One of my favorite scenes of all time is when a high Christopher who's shot and killed and dismembered more than one person and dug up a dead body multiple times by this point gets all freaked by Ralphie's toupee. 😂
The episode Cold Cuts has some great acting in it.
Chris is really good throughout the episode as he deals with the two Tonys relationship and how they treat him.
There is also some great scenes between Tony and Janice, especially the ending dinner scene when Tony is an absolute cunt trying to provoke her to make her angry.

That smug look after he gets that reaction he's trolling for while he's leaving, he is his mother's son.
"Look at her face she's got a fucking smile on her face."
Whole family just passes around the toxicity and abuse constantly.

Yeah, it is fucking great.
He can't be happy that his sister is trying to deal with her anger issues(he did tell her to haha), he has to make her feel shitty to make himself feel better.
Barbara was smart, albeit selfish to just let Tony assume all the responsibility for their mother's care and the finances and keep just enough distance for perks but never any real personal fallout.
My favorite thing when I rewatched the show as an older person was just how brutal all the interpersonal relationships are and not because the people are dysfunctional and toxic (that's a given) but how realistically the arguments play out. Edie Falco especially, it's why I couldn't see her outside of anything as Carmella. And I know it sounded funny to call it a favorite but it's just how much that show really gets in mud about how people are.
