Werner looks like a spurs player
That said, pretty hilarious the goal he scored was way onside, and got ruled offside somehow.

This performance is increasing Kane's transfer value. Between this and the Lukaku deal, Chelsea pumping that number

An incredibly Werner thing to happen mind you.

By Cleff Go To PostSaw the tackle. Don't watch it.
Think his knee dislocated.
Picture going around that.....well, let's just say it isn't his knee
By Willkiller Go To PostPicture going around that…..well, let's just say it isn't his kneeI mean what is the knee but the ankle of the foot
I saw the replay on reddit (it's not that graphic) and the commentator going: "Maybe there is contact there"

Cunts. Now they're out for 14 days or maybe longer. I don't get how players can risk their health like that.
Or in Brandts case it doesn't surprise me, since he grew up with a mother that believes in alternative medicine (sugar).

Tackle didn't look that bad from the angle I saw. Unlucky leg got stuck under him. Unfortunate injury.

By inky Go To PostYep. People were adamant that for the fee he was the future of City's midfield, "untouchable for a decade" when in reality he was just another player whose importance would diminish over time until he got squeezed out.City paid maybe £50m for him or so and have gotten 4 seasons out of him and will sell him for the about the same price whenever he does leave. I'd be perfectly okay with that. He's helped us win numerous titles and was of course unbelievable in one of the seasons.
He wasn't nearly the same player last season though -- getting banned for a game for the Ben Mendy thing by all accounts really got to him and he has seemed sour on England in general since it happened. We'll see how it plays out. Grealish in definitely means he or Mahrez will need to leave and Mahrez has been in amazing form lately. He'd be a perfect Simeone player and Atleti have spent big before, so it seems a great match but unsure if they'll stump up the cash or not. City will definitely require £50-60m for anyone who wants to sign him.
By Laboured Go To PostHasn't Mahrez also been making sounds about wanting to move on?I haven't heard anything to that effect personally but he is now over 30 and is under 2 years left (just) so this will be his last big contract if he moves so he'd want it to happen sooner than later. I think City will renew him until 2025 most likely. Bernardo is signed until then so there is absolutely zero need for City to sell him for anything less than the bare minimum they'd accept.
I am confused by Spurs only making 4 subs in their friendly. Is that just a mistake on the whoscored recap page?
I see Matt Miazga is back at Chelsea for preseason -- he actually looked pretty decent when I saw some Anderlecht last year so I'm kind of curious what his future is like. I think he needs a new permanent club to help his international career.. he's kind of a forgotten man for the most part but is still fairly young (26).

No one bothered to answer me, so I assume no one cares
By Xpike Go To Postso uh, how does pep plan to play? does anyone even careIf we don't sign a striker, we'll have Sterling or Torres play as a False 9 fairly often I assume. Jesus will rotate between CF and winger at times if he isn't sold as well (Juve are interested). It shouldn't look all that different to this year with a lot of rotation of the forwards and creative midfielders.
Only exciting thing is what players, he will do those fake sociopath tears for this time. Full John Mark Byers.
Speaking of City, we apparently are trying to get City to lower the price of Pedro Porro by taking off the money City would have to pay of their percentage of Porro's wages for this season if we only activated the buy clause at the end of the season.
Don't see why City wouldn't agree, it's the same to them and would allow us to close that chapter.
Wouldn't be shocked if we were banking in him causing an impact in the Champions League this season and then sell him in the summer.

The whole thing is still incredibly stupid given his initial cost. Another disasterclass by Txiki.

I wouldn't be upset if he stayed here forever though, not only he is one of the best RB's I ever seen play for us, he absolutely loves it here.
I said before how he almost lost his voice screaming for his teammates in the super cup on Friday and how he said he was nervous on the bench feeling that he couldn't help the team because of his injury.
Our backstage video showed him hyping up Esgaio, who was replacing him, before the game and both of them gave an interview hugging Gonçalo Esteves, the 17 year old we are working to be our next RB.
He even has a Sporting case in his phone.
Just a great guy all around.
