Just give the young talents minutes, that’s all we ask. Our expectations are low, our options are limited, just bet on the future.
By Meier Go To PostCompletely bizarre and frustrating window for Man City. Genuinely shocked we haven't brought in another player or two, even if they were like some sort of kooky CFG signing. I wonder if Kayky will be available to play for the first team or what his work permit situation is like. You tried Nuno Mendes. Apparently offered 25M€, which we obviously rejected.
We'd been linked with Nuno Mendes forever and obviously have an even greater need for another LB now with the Mendy situation.. and just nothing.
PSG was closer to our evaluation, deal seems to be 7M€ loan fee + 40M€ buy clause that will be triggered next season and PSG apparently will pay Sarabia's wages.

I'd like to think the lack of signings means Pep will play some of the kids a bit more but know that won't happen. Hopefully we see Delap and McAtee often though.

Lost my patience with Ole tbh.
Not letting Donny go when the squad is bloated, hanging on to Lingard....

Midfield isn’t bloated though.
City have to keep Fernandinho, Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish, Foden, Sterling, Mahrez, Bernardo, Torres and Jesus happy. That’s for six positions.
I have no qualms with us keeping Donny or Lingard for squad depth, they’re decent second or third options and that’s what makes for successful seasons.

You lost your patience with him six months ago. FWIW Olé has made some high profile blunders I'm his time as United manager. Not resting players who clearly needed it and lacking trust in his bench are two big ones. Failing to sub out Fred against PSG when he was obviously getting a second yellow soon was another.
But it's clear that he's the best boss we've had since Ferguson retired. Hasn't won the trophies LVG or Mourinho did, but they left the squad in an awful state and he's had to rebuild a lot. I don't think he's the person to bring us to League success, bit he's the right man currently.
By Fergie Go To PostOf course it's a loan

By inky Go To PostAmad and Pellestri are never playing for us eitherAmad is a weird one. Spent 40+m on him, loaned him back, got him in Jan and played him in very few games. Was going to go on loan again but got injured in training so he is going to be here, probably play with the u23 till Jan and probably loan him out then. Don't really know what the ultimate plan is with him but based on the money we paid for him, and his age, I think he will get his time eventually.
I am with you on Pellistri, I think we will keep loaning him but will eventually sell him for a profit.
I genuinely don't understand what the plan is with Van De Beek.

I'm still completely unsure why they signed Ramsdale, but otherwise I think Arsenal have bought very well this summer. Whatever happens with Arteta, at least he or the new guy has a ton of young talent at his disposal.
