Southgate has mastered the clank
Even changes that backfire, we end up getting away with as they burn through their final stores of energy and we get to coast for the last five or so minutes

Seeing the english cry in the finals will be even sweeter. Mickey mouse draw and still needed the match to be fixed.
By n8 dogg Go To PostAnd anyone who criticises Sterling is a fucking gammon. Player of the tournament. His fundamental ball-striking ability is pretty piss for a top level forward, but he's so fucking clever on and off the ball when he's on it that it hardly matters
By Punished* Go To PostSucks that it's decided with such an unbelievably soft penalty decision.A soft pen and an own goal.
If they win this thing, it’ll be the least convincing Euro victory since ... the last Euro tournament.
Sterling&OG 2 Denmark 1
Bit harsh on Denmark that penalty but it was coming, Denmark were running on fumes for almost an hour.
Football is coming home (if you put Sterling in a recovery chamber until the final).

Denmark deserved better from the VAR team, they played a good game. To be robbed like that is absolutely crazy.

Well done, Denmark. Bring me more of this in the World Cup.
By Wahabipapagooz Go To PostSterling was great, and Kane did extremely well when dropping back, to create all that space for Saka and Sterling. Midfield for England is terrible though, and even with Italy not looking great recently too… I think they got thisAbsolutely.
By UkerLunatic Go To PostLiterally everyone takes the piss out of England then all of sudden getting this far was expected.
:lol
Watch Denmark be written off as a shit side now as well

Cause you haven't been, and aren't now, despite Southgates being conservative as fuck. England going to a final is no miracle at all, you got great players all around. If you compare Denmark and England to make a greatest 11 team, there wouldn't be many Danes.
England were the better side but winning through an OG and a soft pelanty doesn't inspire confidence in them against Italy. I think UEFA should've scrapped ET and went straight into pelanties.
Sterling player of the tournament? For england that may be the case.
Italy and Spain have players that are far more worthy of such accolades.

Denmark got a pretty good team, but absolutely no depths when subs have to come in, especially with Eriksen dead.
By Eternity Go To PostDenmark deserved better from the VAR team, they played a good game. To be robbed like that is absolutely crazy.Again. This is on the ref.
If the ref would have continued the game and got help from the VAR later on, it would have been different.
VAR can only overturn the ref, if the decision was clearly wrong. Sterling was touched, so it wasn't a false decision.
It's on the ref for giving pen right away.

I think it would be amazing if Denmark got to a final too.

I think it's a big mental block to get over for the English
Even though they've had great players they've always under achieved so I get it
But from my view the 2 best teams played in the other semi final. England comfortably the 3rd best team and can definitely pull out a win vs Italy, just think it's unlikely. But good stuff from England regardless.

True enough but Italy got dominated yesterday and won through lotto and didn’t look great against Austria in the slightest.
I think they’ll win, but they aren’t untouchable.
By UkerLunatic Go To PostLiterally everyone takes the piss out of England then all of sudden getting this far was expected. They came in as one of the favorites. They were behind only France in the odds.
By Pennywise Go To PostAgain. This is on the ref.Touching players is not foul play, Sterling made the most of it. That is fair, I am not blaming Sterling at all.

VAR and the Refs made a mess of it in one of the most important games of the tournament.
Been a big week for the English. Euros final, new tennis star, soldiers getting away with murdering civilians and children, new Paddington movie announced.

If rice and Phillips play, Felaney or Højbjerg could too. And Christensen could certainly make the squad too although maybe on the bench. But yeah
By FligureSkatingFlan Go To PostThey came in as one of the favorites. They were behind only France in the odds.kind of crazy its like they had never seen england play at a major tournament

Across Europe or just England?
I would have said France > Belgium > Italy > Spain > Portugal > England > Germany based on squad strength, managers, etc. It’s not out of the realms of possibility we would have made the final obviously, but ahead of Belgium seems odd.
By Eternity Go To PostHow many games have England played at home?*football’s home
All but one, against the mighty Ukraine.
It's just a massive mental hurdle that's been breached. We've been home before in a semi and fucked it.
I'm just really happy.
