By sohois Go To PostMadrid won't win the CL this year. They also won't drop out the top 3 of La Liga. Better for them to just bide their time for a bit instead of doing a Barca and really destroying themselves trying to keep up.I'm not sure they haven't destroyed themselves tho. Look at all the money they've spent on transfers on recent years on flops. Hazard for £100m, Jovic for £50m, Militiao for £45m, Rodrygo for £45m and Reinier for £25m. They've gotten some of that back in player sales and loans, but they're still obviously struggling a lot for cash. Those loanees like Bale, Odegaard and Ceballos are all returning to them as well.
As long as they get Mbappe or Haaland it would all prove worth it for Perez
Reports suggest they won't be replacing Ramos or Varane this summer. Kroos and Modric will need to be replaced in the next 18 months as well as Benzema. They've the spine of a team to replace and don't have the cash to do it.
By cRrusheR Go To PostTo be fair, La Liga, Real Madrid and Barcelona have dominated the football scene for an entire decade. Barcelona legendary team, Ronaldo, Messi, Mourinho - Guardiola, Zidane and the three CLs. We needed a break, it couldn’t go on forever.15-20 years seems to be the limit for a team to remain one of the best in the world for a consistent period. Barcelona managed about 15 years, largely due to Messi. Ferguson's United a similar amount, Liverpool in the 70s and 80s, Madrid in the 50s and 60s. They've all eventually hit barren patches

Debt wise they're in a similarly bad position, but they'll be able to clear a huge amount off their wage bill as all their old stars leave. Barca's position with Messi will probably beggar them for a decade
edit edit: although if Perez continues to cling to his super league, at some point UEFA is going to hit them with a massive CL ban or something
Incredible.
Allelujah has another personality, named Hallelujah. Hallelujah was formed after Allelujah received his quantum brainwave surgery in the HRL Super Human Research Institute. Hallelujah is also the one who had killed Allelujah's friends while escaping the institute. To distinguish from Allelujah in Season 1, Hallelujah reveals his golden right eye when he is in charge.

By Daz Go To PostAre we getting verane on a free?Fee discussed close to ~£50m.
Only club going for him apparently. PSG want Ramos. We look to have a clear run at him this summer, only other option would be Madrid get him to sign a new contract but from the reports it sounds like he wants out.
£120m for bith Sancho & Varane to sort out the first XI sounds like good business.
By Laboured Go To PostI really like our posts.
Most of the well known reporters are discussing Varane to United so I guess there's some truth to it.

By Lupercal Go To PostSancho & Varane is great but a DM is hopefully next on the list for United.
Can see it not being a huge priority unless Pogba goes. Atm we have Bruno, Pogba, Donny, Matic, McSauce and Fred in the middle. I’d love if we shifted Matic, and wouldn’t be hugely averse to Pogba going and us giving Donny more time, but I don’t see us prioritising CM.
Wonder if Garner gets a PL loan next year. Send him back to Watford.
Who do we wanna/expect to see on Saturday lads?
Think I’d give James the nod over Walker; give the latter a rest and the former can bomb forward.
Would give Phillips or Rice a break and play Henderson. I reckon Mount will be back in
Foden will probably start over Saka but it’d be nice to see United legend Sancho get a go against a team that sits mega deep.

By Laboured Go To PostThis Spanish judge is going to get slapped :lol. What, exactly, is the legal basis for the judge's orders? The supposed authority of this commercial court has perplexed me for months.
Rotation would be good in general, given the demands on the players. Don't see Southgate doing much though, he's clearly got his preferred starters.
James-White-Stones-Chilwell
Henderson-Rice-Bellingham
Sancho-CalvertLewin-Sterling
Although this kind of chopping and changing is the kind of thing that works in FM but probably would fall apart in real life. But hopefully at the very least we see a more attacking midfield with the likes of Hendo, Bellingham, Mount playing

interesting the amount of players just running down their contracts
i think the market is so fucked up now that most transfer fees are simply unattainable for top clubs

Soo, will there be add-ons for Sancho or not?
I've read on various sources that there would be. Yet the ad-hoc news for BVB shareholders just says a flat €85m fee. I'm finding that quite weird to not mention possible add-ons. You'd assume that was relevant information for the share price.

United have been briefing no add-ons. The BVB thing said flat fee, but it's possible they needn't mention the add-ons as they are contingent on future events.
I saw some journos were saying there were some add-ons but they may have just been mistaken/misinformed.

By n8 dogg Go To PostMadrid are very very very poor. That’s the simple answer. It really isn't as bad as you may think it is. Player expenses, were down 100m in debt, it's the stadium that's costing 700m something, our biggest debt is the stadium renovations but the payment terms is over 30 years with very low interest so who cares.
All things considering Perez has done a phenomenal job regarding finances. It's the latest batch of signings that's been poor, Hazard signing has been a disaster with the injuries and Jovic hasn't lived up to the hype. To say we're very very very poor is a bit of an exaggeration, I mean we've never really been a club which makes money, that's not the Madrid way.
That being said, our ride of 4 CLs, league titles and other cups wasn't going to last forever. All cycles come to an end, we're now trying to rebuild but the likes of Hazard and Jovic have made it difficult.
By barber Go To PostPerez has done a phenomenal job regarding financesNot sure if you recall or know where we were prior to Perez?
By Killer7 Go To PostI think Varane could be playing us for a better deal still. Never sure with these Madrid playersVarane is gone bro, congrats on the purchase.

By FligureSkatingFlan Go To PostWhat, exactly, is the legal basis for the judge's orders? The supposed authority of this commercial court has perplexed me for months.
I've been trying to rationalise it. Nation states have reciprocal laws which state that under given conditions (and extremely, exhaustingly specific procedures) they will enforce foreign judgments. Now I don't think they'll (RM, Barce, Juve) even try and enforce, because this is going to get appealed all the way up the chain anyway and a judgment/order under appeal isn't usually going to get enforced in the interim, let alone enforced in a foreign territory. It's more or less a buying time / gumming up the works tactic so at least they'll be i nthe CL next season.

We'll see how the rest of the summer goes. I think our board of management is now painfully aware of the level of resentment and anger the fans have towards them. That directly effected the clubs financials when a number of sponsors pulled out after the April protests. They know they need to invest. That's my hope anyway.
