Football is no different than any other market really, the finances are all the same, inflation has mooned like mad (everything is more expensive) and as such player valuations have risen to match the market rates. So much money has been injected into every market, when I see players getting the wages they are today or signings above what they would have been compared to just couple years ago I'm not at all taken back. This is the newest normal, there will be newer normals later on but the reality is this normal is here to stay.
Jack at 100m is a great get for City given the circumstances of the market and their financial backing.
