See a few people on social media saying “United should win the league spending this kind of money” and just confused, because there’s not a lot you can do when City get 100+ points.
Liverpool losing the league with 97 points, mental.
It’ll be a successful season for me if United get ~85 points and do well in the cups. If you get more than 90 points and don’t win the league… I don’t know.

And also.....City won the league last year with only 86 points, not 100, and they've lost Aguero without adding (so far). The gap (in points) last season between United and City wasn't huge, they 100% should be challenging for the league this year.
Yeah, it’s all context. If we get 85 and City get 87 and we lose, so be it. If we get 85 and City get 100, then we need to be closer.
If the league is won with a total around that, with the signings United have/will make, they should definitely challenge. I guess my point is mainly that United can only affect their own results, it’s not always in your control in football.
If City sign Grealish, who regularly created the most chances in the league, I think they’ll win it easily.

Tbh I think Chelsea will win (unless City get Kane and Grealish lol). Can see Chelsea, United and City all finishing within 5 points of each other at the top. Liverpool depends on VVD coming back alright and an attacking reinforcement.

It's certainly got the potential to be a tasty one. Liverpool need to add though or I don't think they'll make a serious prolonged push.

They'll lose 4th spot in the penultimate game and not get it back

Yeah me too lol. Just think we’ll be closer than we have been.
United are smashing the net spend records, but I’d like to think there’s more to it than just spending cash. Still with that amount of outlay, challenging for the title should be a given
United can spend all the money they want, with Ole in charge they aren't going to win anything. City's domination is based not just on blood money but also elite coaching which Ole just can't provide.

A cup is in the cards though.
Stat predictors and bookies all still have United as 4th favourite. They all have largely the same order, with City as quite heavy favourites, then Liverpool and Chelsea quite close together, then United just a bit further back. Betting markets look to be quite down on Ole given United are basically the only ones to have made significant transfers, you would expect markets to have moved towards them.
Both sections at the end stand is now sold out for Copenhagen matches as well. 17000 season tickets after having played our worst the last two years since the 90's. Crazy considering that just a few years ago, the club was extremely happy about 10000.
