Edit: Looked it up she is only pitch side.
REMONTADA! YEAH! LIBERTADORES QUARTERFINALS!
We were down 2-1 on aggregate at the beginning of the second half and would've lost on away goals even at 2-2. We needed two more goals. Vélez's only shot on target the entire match was the goal they scored. It was a gut punch since we were outplaying them and Mauricio Pellegrino was celebrating like the tie was over. But we managed to get the two goals we needed in the last 20 minutes when things looked bleak! What an incredible performance full of courage and determination. We needed this result badly. Since the Copa América break the team has looked like shit with equally lackluster results both in the league and in the Libertadores round of 16 first leg.
Too bad reirom got perma'd cause we probably have his Fluminense next. Their return game against Cerro Porteño got delayed since Cerro's manager Chiqui Arce's son died in a car crash. Fluminense won the first leg in Paraguay 2-0.

Pedri played all the games for club, all minutes at the euros and now Olympics
What a player and human

how is he not dead yet
By Freewheelin Go To PostCrazy, didn't he have the most minutes only behind Messi lolI think a fair few played more minutes for club but he played most games.
how is he not dead yet
Still he's played a lot and should probably take some time off anyway

How tf is Messi not dead? He's 34 ffs
By Willkiller Go To PostHow tf is Messi not dead? He's 34 ffsTbf he runs like 65% as much as everyone else haha
If he wasn't the GOAT I wouldn't be happy about it

Be better.
Be stronger.

True, but even with that in mind it's a lot of football. Plenty of 'lazy' players don't play a fraction of that, look at James for Everton last season....

Plenty of 'lazy' players don't play a fraction of that, look at James for Everton last season….No doubt, Messi is still incredibly fit and works much harder than most "greats" who usually get lazy and fat and their decline starts at 29

What a player and human
Now he is playing at the olympics, I hope he is not dead by the end of it from exhaustion

James is certainly not reference point

That was kind of my point though, James is someone who doesn't do a lot of running and still doesn't play a lot because his body lets him down and well....he clearly can't be arsed despite being 5 years younger than Messi

Olympics football hits different. Truly the GOAT tournament.
Gignac is to Mexico what Greaseman is to Uruguay.

Find it quite interesting how some NTs like Brazil and Spain take the Olympics quite seriously whereas others really do not.
By Laboured Go To PostFind it quite interesting how some NTs like Brazil and Spain take the Olympics quite seriously whereas others really do not.I think 5 of the players that started for Spain today played vs Italy in the semifinal
By Laboured Go To PostFind it quite interesting how some NTs like Brazil and Spain take the Olympics quite seriously whereas others really do not.Spanish law forces teams to allow players to go to the Olympics, the rest of the countries don't have that.
By Laboured Go To PostFind it quite interesting how some NTs like Brazil and Spain take the Olympics quite seriously whereas others really do not. Here that happened because olympics was the only championship we havent won before, but we did in 2016, so now I can't really understand...
This tournament has been fun. Mexico destroying France, the mighty favourites Spain drawing 0-0 with Egypt, Australia beating Argentina 2-0.
By Laboured Go To PostFind it quite interesting how some NTs like Brazil and Spain take the Olympics quite seriously whereas others really do not.You mean Team GB?
Oh, that's right, they never qualify as they suck in the U21-euros and the fact that the four FAs can't decide on how to string a team together.

Spanish football is really doing its best to break Pedri before his career really begins. No reason for him to be flogged after playing a full season and the a Euros.
Damn near every day we make ironic jokes about “the black Veratti” or whatever. Yet when a Spanish newspaper does it, it’s into touch?
Olympic football doesn’t mean much anymore. It is why Italy doesn’t care for it.
But when it did, we became the first European team to win three tournaments in a row. 34 WC 36 O 38 WC.
Legends.

By DiPro Go To Postwhat happened in Italy after 1938? anything interesting? While they were rebuilding (think something happened, but not in Switzerland and Sweden ofc) Sweden won it at 1948 London Olympics.

no wonder Everton hired Benitez if this is their strategy. Lets them retrench after years of awful team building, and if it all goes tits up they can just blame the Liverpool man

We'll see.
Looked ok for you last season, but that midfield was static as fuck and largely terrible, so it's no surprise to me someone with a tiny bit of mobility and ability stood out.
