So Calvin Stengs from AZ to OGC Nice (done deal). Myron Boadu from AZ close to a deal with Monaco. Koopmeiners from AZ a target for Rennes (and a bunch of Italian clubs). Someone in France must have seen AZ play lol.
Curious to see how they'll perform in the French league. AZ players and leaving for a foreign club hasn't exactly been a happy marriage.
20/21 - Idrissi -> Sevilla (12 million) = Flop (had a loan spell at Ajax within his first season for Sevilla, made no impact at all)
19/20 - Til -> Spartak Moscow (18 million) = Flop (back in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord)
18/19 - Jahanbaksch -> Brighton & Hove Albion (18 million) = Flop (in negotiations with Feyenoord for a return to the Eredivisie)
18/19 - Weghorst -> Wolfsburg (10,5 million) = Top (still coasting and doing a great job)
16/17 - Janssen -> Tottenham Hotspur (22 million) = Flop (literally a waste of space)
15/16 - Berghuis -> Watford (6,5 million) = Flop (back in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord and did a good job, now coming to Ajax)
So many wasted millions on AZ players.

So that’s Griezmann, Coutinho and Dembele that Barca have paid mega euros for only for all 3 to turn out duds.
Just incredible.
Just incredible.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostI actually think griezgodd was fine
Dembele and Coutinho big flops
The expectations for Griez were just stupid high. Understandably so of course, but that was never going to work for Barca

Lmao, not even going to the best Danish league. But got Agger and Lars Jacobsen as the coaches...
I wouldnt mind if the logo looked good tbh. Not like advertising for Carlsberg is better morality wise haha, but that looked good on the shirt.

Apparently photographers were told not to show Lingard in our training pictures. So something could be imminent.

We're apparently selling Guehi to Palace for 15-20 million. Coupled with the Tomori transfer + CL prize money, we might have a shot.
Still very unlikely though.

Coupled with the Tomori transfer + CL prize money, we might have a shot.I've seen CL prize money mentioned a few times, but as far as I'm aware winning the CL does not confer a big bonus; the majority of CL earnings are still TV money, and prize money is pretty evenly distributed throughout the competition. I don't think Chelsea's budgeting will have drastically changed due to the ~£5m extra they received compared to expectations.
Still very unlikely though.

Chelsea seem determined to get him and Abramovich can find a spare in 150m in his jeans pocket. I don’t think the issue is money right now because like you said, player sales are coming. We have so many players who will be leaving and provide at least 10-20m per sale.
Still very unlikely though.

No idea how much it is, but it should help quite a bit to get a good chunk of cash or at least get your financial fairplay stuff in control for a club like Chelsea.

No idea how much it is, but it should help quite a bit to get a good chunk of cash or at least get your financial fairplay stuff in control for a club like Chelsea.I just googled it, and seems it is a decent amount. Chelsea would have received £35m more prize money than 19/20, as they only reached the round of 16.
Also apparently Chelsea had not gone beyond the round of 16 since the 13/14 season, which is kind of crazy

Still end up pretty much doubling your prize money from the quarter finals to being the winner. Dont think anyone are arguing that it drastically changes anything, but it's still a considerable amount of money that helps the club at the end of the day, together with these transfers.
By Willkiller Go To PostChelsea aren't getting Haaland this summer, nee chance
Yeah doubt it will happen. Will end up with that Moreno shitter or something.
Would be a good signing for any top English side I think. If you ignore the fact that Chelsea will use the money to buy Haaland.
Instead of properly funding lower league football, they can use the prospect of replays against big teams as a fig leaf. Makes perfect sense
By Punished* Go To PostFeel for Tammy, from winning the CL and coached under Tuchel to getting shipped off to a mid table club with Arteta. Ah well

Tammy Abraham will end up doing well wherever he goes I think. Underrated player. Fuck tuchel.
Anyway Copenhagen have sent the best paid player in the whole league out on a loan deal... To a team that got relegated last season 💀
