So in the last 10 seasons
16 matches in the champions league have been decided by away goals rule
I honestly thought there'd be a lot more over 10 seasons.
Still, those matches in the future would have all gone extra time/penalties

On the other hand, maybe we will get more attacking matches now, without the home team being afraid to go forward. Time will tell, I am not entirely convinced it's a bad thing yet.

I have a feeling teams will still be as conservative and we'll end up with more penalties/extra times. I could be wrong, and hopefully I am.
Cant look at those games and take away anything, because the away goals rule highly conditions how these matches are played.
It makes no sense for the home team to be the one with more incentive to defend deep.

Lived with a foot lad at uni. Every time I'd introduce him to a girl friend (not a girlfriend) they'd wake up the next morning to messages on FB from him asking for feet pics.

What a take. Surprise but he's wearing a Brøndby cap in his profile photo
Piers Morgan is the good guy comparatively to Hitler, Bush, Jafar, doicare, etc.
Just not to regular folks

By Laboured Go To PostBetter but I'd still go with flabbinhos team
By Cleff Go To PostWas Lukaku really that good this tournament? No
Schick was the best striker this tournament
And had the goal of the tournament(arguably)
If you take the occasion out of it and view the final from a completely objective standpoint, Southgate made a complete hash of it. I love the man, I really do, and he's given us some truly incredible moments that I'll never forget.......but I just don't know if he is the man to win us a tournament.
Think he deserves one more chance. 4th-3rd-2nd in three years is good progression. We were far better this tournament than in 2018. It’d maybe be different if the WC was a full two years away but it’s only 16 months oe something
Really good managers don't want to be international managers anyway. The best English managers might be willing, but England isn't overflowing with talent in that regard. Wouldn't fancy watching Dyche's England. Smith probably wouldn't be a drastic enough improvment. Ditto the likes of Howe or Wilder. Probably better to stick with the man who has guided England to one semi and one final so far, despite his limitations.
Maybe Rodgers would be tempted, but I wouldn't trust him in a tournament at all.
Potter will surely win everything in 24/26 though

For the record, I agree. He deserves another chance 100%. But I don't think it'll result in a WC win.
