That's a super annoying 'feature' with this forum software and will not be in the new forums.

I posted some UI updates in the sticky. It's what you can expect the threads to look like. Finally moving on to doing the global layout stuff (navigation, posting bits), then onto landing page and forum view, then user profiles. Latter will be a bit more turnkey for launch, but I'll be consistently updating and tweaking the UX/UI as time goes on.
