By cRrusheR Go To PostHave to admit Horizon 5 makes me wish Sony had a Gran Turismo World in the works. I would even consider buying a Xbox for it, but the problem is that none of my multiplayer crew has one.I think DriveClub could've evolved into something like this had they not fucked the launch and then killed it
By cRrusheR Go To PostIt was a bit weird to see them talk RT and then show gameplay where the reflections on the car aren't RT.
They specifically said ray tracing is in the Forza Vista mode, which is the photo/vehicle viewing mode for Horizon. In the trailer the AMG car clearly has RT enabled before it cuts to the race.
If someone told me that Origins game was some Nomura side project from 2009 that got canned and then revived just to fill a covid release void I’d believe it
- Equipment is back
- new vehicle: Razorback (can carry an additional weapon on its back)
- vehicles are being delivered by Pelicans
- Halo 2 weapon pods are back
- Spartan and weapon/vehicles customization (voice, prosthetics, etc)
- no loot boxes
- no expiring Battle Pass
- cross-progression/play
- Academy mode for newcomers (learn about weapons, the Halo multiplayer vocabulary and more)
- meaty launch and post-launch content
I could certainly believe this design took about 12 years for Nomura to come up with. Perfection doesn't come over night

I missed that bit.
- vehicles are being delivered by PelicansThese are only in BTB, thankfully.
- Halo 2 weapon pods are back
All the footage that they showed in the video looked terrific and I love their solution to the battle pass, where they don't expire and you can go and buy old ones. Gets rid of the fomo aspect.
By Hitch Go To PostI'm happy to have it, they'd have only made a mess of the facial animation and lip-synchinghttps://www.ign.com/articles/elden-ring-miyazaki-hidetaka-full-interview-summer-of-gaming
Feel like GRRM will be mentioned less and less over time, as it becomes apparent that he's been sat on his arse reading about the NFL for the last decade.
By DY_nasty Go To PostHalo looks gud.It really does. Seems like they've finally been able to split the difference between their solid H4/H5 shooting and things the community really wanted from the older games.
Scaled back movement options, high base speed, classic scoping, no shooting when you have the flag, maps that aren't just all gray and boxy (one of them looks a lot like Valhalla?), I'm here for all of it. Making the grappleshot a pickup is a smart decision, too. Keeps the game from being too much like Reach and ensures that classic 4v4 arena can be free of some of the crazier equipment and movement.
Stalker looking as good as it does was the real surprise. I was expecting an even worse vtmb2 level mess
By World B. Flat Go To Postthat's today? In 23 hours lol
OH BBY
BOTW 2 PLEASE
I am all for inclusion and everything, it goes without saying, but the vibe of this whole conference is like watching a holocaust/syrian refugees documentary

By post-DiPro Go To Posthe probably came up with a couple of concepts on the flight over to japan. this is just a marketing gimmick.Nah, pretty extensive lore writing
there's more about his involvement in that interview but this one in particular was interesting
IGN: I was reading back some older interviews with you, and in 2016 you said, "I think my philosophy towards game development is first, set a certain game system and then apply a worldview that matches that." Has that philosophy changed at all since then? And if it hasn't, how has that philosophy informed the development of Elden Ring?
HM: It's still intact largely, but we think one main difference is having the involvement of George R.R. Martin from the start and having him paint that picture of the world's history and the mythos. We sort of had an element of the world building first, to then explore the game systems and the rest of the game from that. This was quite a fresh approach and rather than imposing new restrictions on the game, George Martin himself was very open to us prioritizing the game systems and leaving out anything we didn't want to explore – but it ended up not being like that. It ended up being a huge source of inspiration and impetus for the design of the game, so the world building and the systems went hand-in-hand. It was a really great collaboration.

he's fawning over unfinished and buggy games now

but it did sound like he wrote an extensive amount of lore for them for the characters, bosses and world/mytho.
small man todd howard made a youtube video bragging about how the jocks that bullied him in school are now playing his games

Halo mp not having loot boxes or bp that expires is a breath of fresh air tbh. So many online fps games want to put you on 3 different treadmills with their own ingame currencies and other bullshit.

By inky Go To PostHe's a Godd Howard fan like the rest of usTodd Howard looks like a club owner from an 80s movie
By Daz Go To PostThat's thetragedycomedy of Elon, he thinks he's Tony Stark whne in fact he's Lex Luthor.
By Yurtlicious Go To Postpretty much lmaoIt sounds like any non-vague details we might get will likely come from GMMR himself, probably after the game is released.
