but there is obviously´different degrees of ray tracing, and what we've seen on console so far has been mostly very modest reflections (often only 1/8 res and so on) and lightning when it comes to ray tracing. which makes sense, considering even a 3090rtx struggles with max out ray tracing in many games at a decent res. But the end results can be amazing.
But to call it a gimmick is some of the dumbest shit you can say. Very much like how people tried to call VR a gimmick for years.
