Remember when Dier seemed like some kind of continental midfielder from the future because he's English and he'd arrived from Portugal? Weird. His reputation has absolutely plummeted the last couple of years in particular, everyone actively wanted him to not be in the squad.
There's a lack of quality CB's in that England squad, especially with Maguire's fitness in doubt.
Wouldn't be surprised if Southgate went back to having Walker at RCB and Tripper at RWB. Then do the same for Shaw and Chilwell on the left.

He'd be on 200k p/w with a other 4 years left with us.
By Killer7 Go To PostKane and DCL only recognised strikers.Think he might have if he hadn't pulled out of the squad. Greenwood is kind of interesting though -- he was incredibly underwhelming for most of the season as far as production goes but definitely had a purple patch at the end. Sometimes it's hard to say whether a streaky guy is worth it for a short tournament... Sterling is in truly abysmal form so realistically the same thing applies to him.
Would have assumed Greenwood would go.
Either way, there's value in bringing a future mainstay to get them acclimated though even if he wouldn't necessarily play much, so Greenwood would have been good to bring along but it seems he pulled out due to injury anyway.
That's a pretty good squad, I'm happy Saka got the nod. He really deserves it after the season he's had even if he probably won't play that much.
Also obligatory it's coming home.

By Willkiller Go To PostDon't think Henderson is an option really, don't thinkk he's being taken to play
Then Phillips will do just fine
If anyone picks up an injury before the start of the tournament, can they still be swapped out? Because someone is definitely picking up an injury

By Elchele Go To PostAncelotti is a nothing coach nowadays. His approach may have worked a decade ago but now he's useless at the top level.Sounds like an Everton manager

Brozovic or Barella would be interesting signings to make.
But think is rather the full £45m to spend on a winger/CB.

Two former Everton managers that didn't even make the grade are managing Spain's two biggest clubs. What a precipitous fall from grace.

Sure, I guess. I like Don Carlo, always have and always will.
I remember wanting Ancelotti when Rodgers left. Even after Bayern not ending so well, I was surprised at how underwhelming he was at Everton. Just didn't kick on.

Let’s get him back, it would be great.
Rafa is not as good a manager at the very top level, but would do a much better job for Everton than Ancelotti
People please consider Everton’s squad, yes Ancelotti hasn’t kicked on as many hoped he would, but the team is shit with no clear philosophy
Even Pep or Klopp wouldn’t do much with the current’s Everton squad

Yeah I don't think ancelotti is a world class coach anymore, but I do think people are being very harsh on his Everton job
I think Ancelotti has been very underwhelming at Everton tbh.
First season was fair enough, but last summer he was majorly backed in the transfer market, seemed to get all the players he wanted and finished 10th which has to be a fair bit lower than internal expectations.

So we got drawn with Vélez in the Libertadores round of 16. Alright then, let's keep this magic train going.
Think Ancelotti may just not have it anymore, it isn't like Everton played substantially better than other seasons ignoring that purple patch they had at the beginning

He did get players but was only given £50 million for his players
We did not have a fit right back neither a proper right winger
He was ‘majorly’ backed is false statement
