Harden consistently shrunk in big moments and routinely choked. He had an injury excuse this year but how he played in game 7 is basically how has played his whole career. While he was on the Rockets, the Rockets came back from 18+ points with his bum ass on the bench (we call this the Josh Smith game).
I will say though, Harden really did reinvent himself on the Nets. Aside from his obvious foul baiting which is still gross.

By n8 dogg Go To PostWhat was the problem with Harden at Rockets? That thing Harden did when he came back, the dribbling the air out of the ball at the top of the key, zero movement, forcing standstill shooting from his team as they're forced to play against set defenses and the end of the shot clock?
Guy’s been exemplary at Brooklyn. Completely runs the offence, fought through his injury for the Bucks series, constantly facilitates for others. Not knowing anything about him at the start of the season other than he was a big fat beard bitch, I’ve been so impressed and he’s probably my fave Net (that is a human - KD can’t be measured on real person scales)
That's not hamstring stuff. Its classic playoff Harden in elimination games. That argument with Chris was basically "we should run real offense, it'll even help you rest and take pressure off you" v "fuck off, no".
Harden was always the problem, followed closely by Morey encouraging a lot of the shit he was doing

Yeah he is annoying when he plays iso 3. As a playmaker though he’s incredible. Having Kyrie and KD around is really good for him, apparently lol. Just needed better scoring options.

The system they ran in Houston ran into many problems in the play offs and he refused to address them really only wanting to ever play iso ball.
If he can change that and actually get back into a system would be great. Having KD, probably the best player in the NBA at the moment, and kyrie around might mean they don't bot her and hide it behind their individual brilliance.

he liked strippers and stunk it up in the playoffs
harden gets blinders in the playoffs and his standstill PG play that led to his team going 0-27 from 3 almost mirrored Joe Harris and that Nets bench completely disappearing in that elimination game
you can't rely on a guy for so much of your offense's positioning and timing then have him sit on his hands with the ball when defenses are more locked in than ever

I guess with the musical chair system all these coaches have worked with each other at some point

Not listening, so I don't know if they've discussed it. Has the ever been a game 5 of the ECF where both star players on the opposing teams were out with injury?
I really hate listening to Reggie of all people applauding guys kicking their legs out unnaturally.
If Paul was healthy the Rox *probably* beat the KD Warriors, it was ugly AF but taking turns going at Curry in iso literally every play for 10 straight minutes was sorta working.
