By masud Go To PostRemember that time Carmelo Anthony won the scoring title and led the Knicks to the second best record in the Eastern Conference and got one vote? One first place vote because a Boston homer didn't want to give LeBron the first unanimous MVP. He finished third.
I doubt Curry gets a first place vote. Randle might get 5th over Doncic and Lillard.
So win tonight so that we can be swept next week but get “experience” or lose for a 2.5% chance at the lottery 🤔
By Not Go To PostSo all the Warriors have to do is beat the Grizzlies and the play-in was absolutely pointlessHow was it pointless? It's structured to give 7 and 8 the advantage vs the winner of 9vs10. The last 2-3 weeks of the season were hyper competitive because of it.

Playoffs and you gotta discount tickets to have fans show up
Was contemplating going since 2 tickets were 200 just to cheer for Boston/boo the Nets

As long as the contracts are large enough to setup up the kid for the beginning of their adult life, I'm cool with it.
I don't see a problem with it as long as he's 18. He can always get a GED fairly easily at an adult school sometime down the line.
By Not Go To PostNCAA not dropping 4 figures on a player, much less 7. College is going to be all scrubsGood. That's what it should be.
By Red Blaster Go To Postlol jarret jack and amir johnson are on the g league ignite teamYeah, they have been taking mentor roles on the team in anticipation of entering the coaching ranks. They aren't doing it to make returns as players.
Antetokounmpo: "I don't know if this year is going to be different" when referring to the Milwaukee Bucks playoff run.

I'm down for people getting paid. But also don't be surprised if NIL comes along and certain players get more than what these dudes are getting. There's more exposure to be had in college vs the G-League.
But obviously with the current rules, these players are making fantastic choices with fantastic money.

Cade is more well know and going to have a bigger endorsement deal than Green because of this

By DY_nasty Go To PostCompared to where it was when he took over? Already a huge jumpPeople are actually calling it the GLeague now instead of the DLeague. Which is an improvement over some people still calling the Pelicans the Hornets.
I am jazz in this playoff but diehard. Jazz won nba but was NOT in utah RIGHT? I remember stockton malone in jazz deron Williams.
By domino Go To PostThis presumptive approach to championships is why so many can't stand him.
well damn Bron
Go Suns.
Dan Patrick hates unnamed sources and always jokes about the "person told me" or "I'm hearing that" line those dudes throw out.

Not everyone is coming in with that much hype though. Foe most people they can get paid and then get paid more when going to the NBA.
It just takes that one dude to get paid for the other top HS players wanting to jump in on that, too. It's progress, but it'll take a while to dismantle the NCAA system -- they got billions.

"I think the league is gonna do what they think is best for the league, but… in '96-97, we had six guys get suspended," Thibodeau said, referring back to an altercation in Game 5 of that series. "Patrick Ewing took a step off the bench, and it wiped him out. And that was our chance, probably, for a championship. I don't think the league favors us."
"I wish that were the case back then so Patrick could’ve played and we could’ve advanced," Thibodeau told ESPN New York's The Michael Kay Show on Friday.
