Could be some posturing, but I don't think City will move for him yet.
By Meier Go To PostHe needs more time. He will almost certainly go to the Euro's and will get to play the Champions League next season.

It will do him good to face some tougher opposition and to mature a bit more (although he plays like he is a veteran sometimes).
He's still only 18, plenty of time for him to make the jump.
By Eduaraujo Go To PostTHANKS linius you are welcome…. see doicare only You dont like me here.. but i dont war.. I am a humble papangu. I may not agree with any of the words you say, but I will defend your right to say them to death......

When City's reserve team costs more than almost everybody else's first choice team you know something's gone horribly wrong with football.

On the other hand, back in 2012 City ended their game with 135 million euros worth of attackers (Balo, Tevez, Dzeko and Aguero) on the pitch and lost 3-1. Those four players were more expensive than our entire revenue back then. Simply can't beat the power of having Siem de Jong.
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostOi Wooden is Kamaldeen Sulemana any good?
Strongly doubt we're that interested but anyways.
I'm really looking forward to Kudus and Kamaldeen playing together. Two friends from the Right to Dream academy in Ghana ending up playing in the Champions League together. It's gonna be beautiful man.
By Doicare Go To PostWhen James Corden retires we've got somebody just as funny to take over.
Shit, that’s a good line

So calm down and stop with the insults.

It was a rotated side but not exactly a second team to be fair. You should have a deep squad if you play over 60 games a season.

It's an insult to The Game that Carson wasn't playing false nine.

Football is the beautiful game sadly not everybody can have a de Jong to stop the rot tho.

Siem de Jong, Nigel de Jong, Frenkie de Jong. We created all of them. I don't know how clubs do it without a De Jong.
By Linius Go To PostFTFYThat is definitely true.

True, but also pretty much inferred if you're playing 60+ games in a season.

I'm still getting used to the fact that nowadays we pay anywhere between 10 to 15 million for teenagers from across the globe and pray it works out. Man, a pretty average striker like Haller cost us 22 million lol.

Nobody's saying you shouldn't have a big squad to play a full season, what's being said is the hilarious amount of money that's been spent on the reserves to the point it's more than almost everybody else's first team. The disparity is ridiculous.

You are interested enough, that Overmars went to our last match against them to show they want him and are ready to bid again. Ajax scared you are over bidding them.
He's very good by Danish league standards. Think United is a step too big.. But who knows. He got no obvious weak sides at all. But Nordsjælland already rejected about 10m from Ajax. Also work permit is looking tough

Wish that was us. 5 mil is still the absolute max here it seems
I have another funny modern football tale. We have a young striker named Brobbey who is represented by Raiola. Contract negotiations have naturally been tough. No agreement was reached last summer. Then we went into the season and started new contract talks when the winter window was closing in. Again we didn't reach an agreement. Ajax responded by buying Haller since we simply need a good striker for the future. Ultimately Brobbey chose to let his contract expire (that happens this summer) and leave the club for free. A few days after that was announced he signed a contract with RB Leipzig. Since he signed with them both the manager and the sporting director that wanted him have left the club. And now he doesn't feel like going there anymore and Overmars is actually negotiating with Leipzig to get him 'back'. It looks very likely that we're gonna end up spending money on our own youth player who also never left the club in the first place. It's even dumber than the Pogba thing United pulled.

Pogba cost more than the entire Copenhagen squad, including the bench players when we played you. Still needed martial to dive in extra time to win. Really makes you think.

The disparity is ridiculous. If you look at it as a percentage increase over the lower teams then I bet City, Utd, Liverpool, etc. spend far lower over the teams at the bottom than in other top leagues. The teams at the top spend the most by a huge margin in every league. I bet Ajax and PSV spend 20-30 times more than FC Emmen. Hell, Porto, Benfica and Sporting probably spent 50 times Farense's budget. Bayern probably outspend Arminia Bielefeld by 20-30 times at least. It's all relative.

Eg.
Van de beek + diallo + telles, did those 3 bench players cost more than any of the EPL relegated teams first 11? I haven't checked and don't know. But I'm sure you could find some examples like that
City obviously would be the most expensive, but it's not like the other big 4-5 teams are playing on same transfer market power as Sheffield United
