Ugh. Christensen has mostly cut those errors out over the last few months - a shame.
Hopefully he isn't seriously hurt.

I'm a bit concerned that our reaction to adversity is to immediately implode. Did it it against WBA as well. Lucky that Aguero did what he did.
Find it odd that people judge panenkas purely based on whether they go in or not. Unless you get it completely wrong, there doesn't tend to be much difference between what's seen as a well executed one and a bad one.
They do look particularly bad when they're saved though, admittedly.

Otherwise it’s worse than just missing a normally taken pen

That's exactly why they're shit and I'd be raging

Zidane almost missed one in the WC but because it hit the post and went in, people put it down as some legendary pen. It was 1cm away from being an embarrassment instead.

Penalties are one of the things that are judged very subjectively and have more of a psychological effect. Think about how people judge that Madrid v Atelti CL final where Oblak just stood still for every pen and they lost. It's funny that one argument people always used when keepers dive and still lose, is that standing still might give them the best chance at saving at least one poorly taken pen, but once it happens it looks ridiculous and makes people feel he lost them that series on his own. (I agree that standing still is a terrible strategy btw).
