That Alaba wage is honestly crazy. There's no other way to describe it. But at the same point, it is par for the course with their other big players so it's probably the least they could reasonably offer him without pissing him off. The main thing though is whether that is inclusive of his signing on fee which is probably at least €15-20m up front prior to any salary.
By cRrusheR Go To PostAlaba is worth the money, he’s a 3 in 1 player. CB/LB/DM, and 28 years old? Sounds good to me.
29 by the time the season starts... and with a 5 year contract.
By Eduaraujo Go To PostTAKE off penny wise of IGNORE LISTWeak. I expected more from a football expert, such as yourself.
Some Italian journalists are claiming that Sporting has reached a deal with Inter for João Mário, 8M€.
I was hoping for a little less but I am glad he is staying.
He annoys me sometimes and he has to finish better but there's no doubt that he was on of the most important players for our title win.
He is willing to lower his wages and is happy to stay so it's good for everyone.
Don't expect us to be very active in the transfer market, the message has been sent loud and clear, using our academy players is the way to go.
We are going to need a RB to replace João Pereira, Marseille apparently submitted a bid for Valentine Rossier for 6M€ so that will be used for the RB.
A new DM and a striker would be appreciated but we will see.
There's been a lot of talk about Marcus Edwards, not sure if I like it.
He's going to be expensive and I rather keep Gonzalo Plata instead of loaning him.

By sohois Go To PostMario surely up there as one of the worst transfers of all time for InterDefinitely, 40M€ spent and between what Sporting are supposedly paying and loan fees, they barely got a 1/4 of that money back.

would be fucking weird to see sterling and mahrez play at arsenal. not sure about that one

If Sterling is available then Liverpool should be all over that. He's only 26 and coming into the prime of his career. I think his recent downturn in form is just temporary and maybe he just needs a change of scenery after years of Peps style. He'd be brilliant under Klopp.
By Elchele Go To PostPretty sure I have seen other footballers posting the same.
💀💀
Pepe is an asshole but it's undeniable that he is still very good at 38, second best center back in the Portuguese league.

fits celtics level and the respect they deserve imo
By Hitch Go To PostHave you watched a Liverpool-City match in the last six seasons?Should never be too proud to take a player back. Fans would be willing to forgive after a half dozen decent performances. Especially if Klopp rallied around him.

But also, who the fuck is that.

We try and cheat and still fucking garbage. Oh also still don't play in Miami.
EDIT: adding some more context, we underreported numbers. The fact that Mas got a separate fine makes me laugh cause that dude tried to do a Miami business dealing(aka shady as fuck) in a Professional League and thought he'd get away with it.
By Cleff Go To PostokIs that Romrei in disguise?
By faridmon Go To PostWow MLS people are quite strict with thingsIt's the biggest fine ever in MLS, there hasn't been much stuff like this prior.
UEFA could learn a thing or two from them
Of course Lalas comes out with some ambiguous tweet slightly indicating this has been done many times before with other clubs, but this is the first time they've done anything about it.
By Cleff Go To PostokStealing a CFG coach, the jerks! Would be a nice team to loan a player or two to though.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostSterling being told that Pep has accepted a bid from ArtetaSterling was probably at his best during Arteta's time with the club. He apparently worked with him a lot and really improved him. I think it would honestly be a good spot for him. I would be happy if City could cash in on him.. would free up space for Grealish as well who Pep does seem really enamored with.
Wait what? Alaba had the second most played minutes after Neuer this season? Why did I think he was always injured.
By Oddinho Go To PostCFG owns Yokohama F Marinos? I am now a firm supporter of Kawasaki Frontale. It is mostly still Nissan but City bought 20-25% like 6 years ago or so. There hasn’t really been much in the partnership to be honest. A player or two has been bought and one loaned out (young kid at Melbourne City this season I noticed) but that’s about it.
