Arsenal without pressure is just too good
You just know if we needed to win yesterday for top 4, we'd have crumbled.
I hate this club so fucking much.

Because he did not look decent.

Even Poch is winning things now. I know, I know. It's PSG but still. #lolspurs

Saw Dias won FWA POTY. I think while he has been very good it seems people are generally conflating his arrival in the team with the improvement in their defence - it wasn't that great until December which is precisely the time at which Pep re-jigged the entire team shape and strategy.
What I am saying is he is not really deserving of this award because he has been merely individually good and City's great defence this season is largely down to Pep and not necessarily Dias. VVD last season was individually orders of magnitude better than Dias this season.
Kane has been the best player in the league this season, thanks.

Police are searching through the offices of Porto, Portimonense and the houses of their presidents for evidence of corruption, financial fraud and forgery of documents.
Only shocked it took this long. There's been a long history of suspicious deals between both clubs like when Portimonense bought Danilo Pereira to sell to Porto on the same transfer window at a loss or when Portimonense loaned two players to Porto with a mandatory buy clause at the end of the season but both players returned to Portimonense.

I agree. Think Gundogan and De Bruyne have been individually better from City alone
The Football writers award has always been an odd one. Looking at Scott Parker winning it a decade ago for instance.
Just saw some lad named Dias won player of the year? Who the fuck is he?
I haven’t watched a single one of their games all year.

They like to make themselves seem like they watch the game deeper than your average fan.
Cucks.

Sounds pretty non-committal considering the stories in the last week, but that interview is from a few weeks ago so I guess it makes sense
Another reason why Porto is being searched by the police is because of suspicion of faked Covid tests.
Nakajima was infected when he went to UAE despite presenting a negative test.
Manchester City, Vitória de Guimarães and Benfica had Covid outbreaks after playing Porto.

Considering the manager is thinking about taking a sabbatical even though Porto wants him to remain, it does sound like the club is about to be in a world of hurt.
Kane is done at Spurs - just a matter of who can actually pay up what Levy would want. PSG will definitely be in for him with Poch there. Though Kane would probably want to stay in England.
Would love to have him at United but think Sancho will be the one again this summer. Also bring me Ings.

Our season ended yesterday so time for a recap.
It's been a glorious season, a league title after 19 years and a league cup title.
It started with a disappointing early elimination from Europe at the hands of LASK Linz but a Covid outbreak at the end of the pre season didn't help.
We were also eliminated from the Portuguese cup in the last 8 thanks to an unfair defeat to Marítimo.
The rest of the season was incredible. 26 wins, 7 draws and 1 loss (against Benfica 3 days after our title win), 20 clean sheets, 65 goals scored, 20 conceded.
A mixture of experience and youth paved the way to glory, a season which was clearly build from the back.
Proof of that was Adan, Pedro Porro and Coates winning multiple monthly awards.
Some standouts from the season :
Player of the year : Sebastian "el capitan" Coates
Already loved by fans before, Coates has risen to the status of club legend now. More than 200 appearances for the club, he was a brick wall at the back and scored some crucial goals up front.
A leader in and out the pitch, an example for all players in the club and beloved by all.
Antonio Adan : while most thought he would be a backup to Max, the Spanish goalkeeper proved to be an incredible signing. Saved the team multiple times and reached a fantastic 19 clean sheets.
Pedro Porro : best RB we had in decades, the 8.5M buy clause is going to be a bargain. A true lion in the field, never gives up, puts it all on the field.
Feddal : didn't expect much from him. A 31 CB that was barely a starter for Bétis? Turned out to be a surprise and 2nd most consistent center back along with Coates in the backline of 3.
Gonçalo Inácio : Edu Quaresma seemed the obvious choice to be the backup to Neto as he had played a lot in the end of last season but Inácio overtook him.
Switched a lot with Neto but in the second half of the season, the RCB spot was mostly his.
Still 19 years old, he has a promising future ahead of him.
Nuno Mendes : the kid is a star. 18 years old, will probably get the call up for the Euros tonight and already has most of Europe paying attention to him.
Should become a top 5 European LB in the future.
Palhinha : from a transferable player in pre season to the most important piece of our midfield. A commentator said yesterday that playing with Palhinha was almost like playing with 12. A beast at the defensive midfield, he occupies so much space and has impeccable tackling timing. Should also be called up for Portugal.
João Mário : a glorious return to Sporting and one that is looking to be permanent. Infuriating to watch at times and missed some big chances but he sets the tempo of our game like no one. His experience definitely helped.
Matheus Nunes : went from the lower leagues and working at a bakery to scoring big goals in huge matches in just 3 years. Played at DM, CM, RM and even RB.
His late goals against Benfica and Braga are two of the standout points of the season but at 22, he still has more to give.
Daniel Bragança : another youngster that returned home after a few loans, Bragança is an incredible player.
So comfortable on the ball, can get out of tricky situations easily and pull out an outstanding pass.
Despite his small stature, he never turns away from the fight. 21 years old and should get even more game time next season as it's going to be a longer one.
Nuno Santos : another surprise signing. 8 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, not bad numbers for a winger.
Pace, good crossing skills and decent finishing ability.
Tiago Tomás : youngest player to ever score in an European match for Sporting, most games as a youngster in his first full season (37), scored more goals (6) than Ronaldo in his first season (5).
Still only 18, can't wait to see what he does in the future.
Pedro "Pote" Gonçalves : never in a million years I expected him to be this good. 23 league goals (only 3 penalties) and the award for top goal scorer in the league.
The great thing is at he has been improving along the season. Has been more and more involved in the game, tracks back more, helps out in the midfield, asks for the ball more times and creates more.
The closer we could ever get to a substitute for Bruno Fernandes and he is still 22.
One should expect him to get called up to the Euros but I think he will be the shocking omission of the list of 26.
Manager Rúben Amorim : the fact is that no one thinks now that it was absurd to pay 12M for him.
The title is mainly his. He is good tactically but an even better at managing the players.
Not afraid to put youngsters in, yesterday he showed another example of how he respects every player.
Tomas Silva is a 21 year old player that has been at Sporting since he was 9. His contract ends this season and it is looking like he is leaving.
Trained a lot with the main team but was never called up until yesterday.
Amorim said that he always worked hard when he trained with the team and helped them prepare for matches so he deserved to leave as a champion.
The way he is handling Gonzalo Plata is also exemplary.
Plata is an extremely talented winger but lacks the tactical knowledge. Amorim has put him as a RWB to force him to gain defensive responsibility and when he wasn't working hard in training, he was sent to the B team for a few months where he clearly learned his lesson and has been a more complete and smarter player since he returned to the main team.
Future is looking bright. Amorim has said that he isn't going anywhere, that he is staying at Sporting and no amount of money can change his money.
There's a clear project set up at the club, our youngsters are the future and Amorim is the man to guide us.
