By Daz Go To PostHow do we have 3rd?You are 2nd with a seven point gap above 3rd
We’ve lost as many games as City in the league this season, and all at home. That Sheff Utd game was just clearly indicative that we weren’t going to win the league, despite all the progress made.
Really hope Ole gets EL this season. Would be nice to have something concrete. Then give him at least one more season and see if he gets closer to challenging and at least the QFs of the CL. Mad to think if we win our game in hand we’re only 7 behind City and yet there’s zero chance we win it. To finish 5 behind would be massive progress from where we have been the last few years.
Think we have made the most of the chaos of Coronaball tho; need to sustain it when things are relatively back to normal.
Edit lol just seen our next game is burnley at home. Bookend Bruno’s first year here with a loss, kings

We have a massive 6 pointer against Rotherham on Thursday. However, they also play on Tuesday so theoretically, we should be fitter.
If we get relegated, and Hixx gets promoted, I may have to do a Bungie.

Cant read to much into ydays performance, played at a good tempo but sheffield offered literally nothing going forward and invited pressure on half the time.
Who at sheffield is good enough for epl or will be bought by an epl team ? Or do you think they will all go down

I could see one of the promoted teams making a punt on Brewster, hoping that his form this season is just related to how shit Sheffield have been.

I remember Rory Donnelly. We had him on loan from Swansea but he was recalled after a few days. Never played for us.
Also I see Wembley legend Bigi.

Berge and O’Connell would be my guesses

It's particularly impressive as they have to worry about dodging firebombs for the full 90

We don't do playoffs so you're safe. SAFE.

Maybe if he has a low-ish relegation clause.
Sander Berge (as n8 suggested) is being linked with City.
Best path for Sheffield with Brewster is just to keep him for a few years. He's only just turned 21 and a big season in the Championship would probably be enough to get their money back, assuming they didn't want to persevere.
Lys Mousset is probably the best player Sheffield have, seems he's been injured for most of the season though

By Lunatic Go To PostSo Bungie self immolated after the Spuds lost? What did y'all do to him?It was Mou, mate. Probably less to do with the loss and more to do with Mou’s antics this season. #MOut
By Ushojax Go To PostIs there another manager in the world who would introduce Moussa Sissoko as their match-changing substitute when a game is 1-1? When you have Dele, Lamela and Bale on the bench? There was this Wilson article before the game where he "traced" back Mou's surrender of the league to your game vs Liverpool where he did something similar, taking a winger out for Reguilon and giving up the game. A lot of the times you can see the Mou logic, I guess he wanted to win more midfield duels or whatever, but it's incredible how every time it just feels like he's throwing the game and giving up trying to win it.
That substitution was a sacking offence. No surprise that Sissoko giving the ball away cheaply is what led to the winning goal. How is putting your worst player on in the most important position going to help you win a match?
He 's brought being stubborn to a new level.
By Lunatic Go To PostSo Bungie self immolated after the Spuds lost? What did y'all do to him?He was really annoyed about us (united fans) kicking a fuss over the VAR decision, but honestly, if you can't be kneejerk and emotional as a football fan then what's the point. This is exactly the kind of match where you are supposed to be like that, with all shithousery going on. It's not like we were taking it out on Spurs fans here or anything.

I don’t really understand all the noise about the VAR decision yesterday. Lamela got a second yellow against Arsenal for doing exactly what McTominay did and there was no complaint, he flicked his arm out and caught the player in the face. Now when the same decision goes against United suddenly it’s a crime against football. For me McTom was lucky not to be sent off as he’d already been booked.

It's some of the silliest stuff i've read on here (excluding Meus posts).
But when you are used to getting away with kicking people in the balls... or this:
i guess it feels unfair, that the ref suddenly follows the laws of the game against you

As embarassing as Son's reaction was (and make no mistake, it is always embarassing when footballers pretend to be hurt from a small amount physical contact), the reaction has been 10x worse.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostLmaoooo unreal how people take this sport seriously.Haven't watched a full Arsenal game in two months myself. Just knowing that we are in a rebuild period so no point in getting too involved in the team. I like where our youngsters are going so in time things may come good🤷🏾♂️
I'm surprised that people are surprised actually. We just came from a game where we had 1 yellow against every two fouls to no yellows for the opponents. We had 5 yellows this game; it's annoying especially when refs seem to be biting on every little touch, spurs were making more of them than it deserved, and the ref ignores the ones going the other way.
You can't just remove the context (have to include the previous match here as well) and pretend you don't understand. It didn't modify the outcome so it doesn't matter in the end, but like I said, since when are we required to not feel done by decisions? That's like pretty much the whole point of being a fan.

Never thought Luke Shaw would get to the level where he's slinging pinpoint outside of the foot crosses like it's no bother to him.

By Pedja Go To PostLooks like everyone is complaining about United again
mourinho's boots look awful.
Oh look non United Slaent trying to state as a fact that United get all the decisions and United are the problem. The issue with Tottenham yesterday was the Spurs players were play-acting and dropping like flies any time they were touched.
In the Son incident McTominay was past him and Son tried to grab McTominay on the chest which is a foul to Man United but the ref didn't give it and Scott pushed his hand back to get Son's arm off of him. Son gets accidentally touched on the cheek and goes down clutching his eyes like he's been shot by a sniper.
If Tottenham had won the ball back Son would have got up and got on with the game but because United scored he stays down like he's dying with the entire Spurs team surrounding him on his death bed until the goal was overturned where he then makes a miraculous recovery and gets up.
And this is all after the previous game against United where Lamela hit Martial and Lamela some how magically didn't get sent off but Martial was sent off robbing United of another game. United fans had every right to be pissed off at Tottenham's cheating.
