Post update
HT: Liverpool 0-1 Aston Villa
Excluding penalties, Liverpool haven't scored with any of their last 127 shots in Premier League home matches, with the Reds having a further 12 attempts so far today.
That is really bad luck
By Xpike Go To Postartetas arsenal may legit be one of the worst pl teamsArteta v Emery. Soon.
And people say i'm biased.......
The line has to be drawn somewhere and wherever it is there will be cases of being 1mm offside. If you want the rule changed to 'obviously' offside then what is considered obvious will change game by game based on each officials opinion and it won't be objective at all leading again to 'obvious' offsides being debated over by a 1mm. People are just angry because their team has been on the end of one of these decisions.

I know people talk about how much better the tech that the VAR ref has than what we see, but it was funny watching him line up the line so it would match up with Jota's shirt sleeve

It seriously looked like he was trying to find a way to force an offside.
Alaba has become such a nothing player since he lost his place as LB
Scott lad has been non existent

Being the only game on TV in this time slot, I’m hoping that its high profile enough a case to force actual change. I guarantee not a single fan of football thought this is what “clear and obvious” was referring to.
By Bungie Go To PostThere's nothing special about that decision. We've seen it enough times now I thinkBut this time it's special because it's LiverVAR

you draw two lines, if one is in front of the other, what ever margin, it is off-side.
Why do people still get worked up about it when the alternative isn't there?? Seeing some decision lately in games without var (internationals) and the huge errors in those shows me that how marginal these calls are it is miles better than letting linesmen make them.

To me the alternative is just to bin the lines off entirely.
If you can’t clearly see from a freeze frame with the naked eye that an offside decision is wrong then the VAR ref has no business overruling the on-field decision.

that would be huge step back, with massive errors again.
Either lines or nothing at all imo.
Its about the 20th one like that i've seen this season, nothing to get particularly worked up about.

By Oddinho Go To PostDraw lines from center of mass?what is that going to change, still two lines.
This Trezeguet injury looks bad. Poor dude :(
and you are now drawing two lines from some "random point" that has a bigger margin of error. I'm with KP, it has been like this for years and the only alternative is no line, with imo is far worse (bigger errors).
Every week there is one fanbase upset because there is a offside var decision going against them, just let it go, will even out.
The solution I like best is like a 6 inch cushion of “benefit to the attacker”
However you measure it, it needs to be small enough to not be a usable, and big enough to be detectable on their screens.

that hurts for AV

Lmao that camera focus on Southgate
Liverpool fans should be thanking him for making Trent wake up and fight to prove himself. He’s been excellent since the snub.

Weird to not watch the Madrid game as a Liverpool fan....
Lmao Jamie Carragher thinking that goal changes anything that has been said about Trent, the issue is he can't defend for shit against good players.
dog dirt
really should have been like 3-0 at half time (yes, nil because their first goal was a shockingly bad own goal). but that's been our problem the entire season: nowhere near enough goals.
Would have to win every game to go up now. We play Blackpool twice who are in ridiculous form (honestly could finish above us at this point) and Hull. So, yeah, not happening.

Kane wanted to be a one team man, and that's what he'll end up as. Don't really see anyone paying 120m+ for him. Congrats on the scoring records I guess.
