By Meier Go To PostSane has not played well tonight.
Snow is really coming down hard again.
He's not any good playing as a RW. Doesn't seem to really understand the footing / body motions for cutting in.
There's literal official written guidance on why those aren't handballs and the BT commentary team are going on about how the rules are inconsistent.
I see the camera crew at the PSG-Bayern game have gone the NFL route and are using those mounted consumer cameras to get the insanely high quality close ups.

By inky Go To PostWhat a time for Lewa to get injured innit:(
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostThe highlight of one of the worst commentary performances I've heard. No lies detected in that commentary
By rerixo Go To Postexcited for the oil derbyBeat them a few years back in the QF and hopefully we could do it again (if we face them), but it will be tough to counteract Mbappe's speed and those balls into space. Pep would have to play Kyle and essentially order him to man mark him.
always wanted to smash those cunts
Bayern deserved a better result.
If Lewandowski makes it back and they approach the second leg with the same drive, they will smash PSG out.
Love commentary now pushing the Haaland Mbappe era. UEFA must have sent the memo.
Mbappe left alone in the box to settle and take a shot which goes through Boatengs legs and into the goal.
"Wonderous finish from Mbappe..." Wonderous finish?.......really?

By Eternity Go To PostBayern deserved a better result. It should be a good second leg, they did well to fight back. It'll be interesting to see how aggressive PSG are with the lead and concern about giving up too many away goals.

I don't think a memo or any pushing of an agenda is required.. they're the two best young strikers in the world and the two top scorers in the CL. The results speak for themselves.
I wouldn't call it wonderous, but it was very clever -- you'd have expected him to try and curl it around the defender to the far post (Neuer certainly did). Boateng can't be too tight or he might foul him with Mbappe's quick feet. He's a killer.

It'll be interesting to see how aggressive PSG are with the lead and concern about giving up too many away goals. There is no reason to not immediately close the space down. They got numbers back in time yet just stood there, Boateng should not have stood stationary and given Mbappe that time to shoot, the whole "but he would have just run past him" argument is weak because you have to make it difficult no matter what. If he runs past you and finishes it, whatever, he had to work for it, instead you give him time to settle and pick his spot.

I can not blame Neuer, because even though the shot was not in the bottom corner, he expects it to get blocked. Neuer did mess up for the first goal though.
UEFA is absolutely looking for the next headline marketing duo btw. Haaland and Mbappe are good players playing in terrible leagues, personally I rate Haaland much higher as he has a much more complete set of skills than Mbappe and plays in a team that is not bankrolled by oil money.
Mbappe = Speed Merchant
Haaland = Potential heir to Lewandowski
The broadcasters have a vested in interest in generating excitement around Mbappe and Haaland because of their hype, earned or manufactured.
By Diego! Go To PostKeeping the away goals rule when you are playing both legs in the same neutral ground is a bit daftAgreed.
